gci2011
Newport Pleasure Gardens Newport, Rhode Island's New Regional Park! 1976 Hello! My name is Janet Rohrs, and I'll be helping to introduce a small regional park here in Newport, Rhode Island! Currently we're in the process of forming a small team to get this off the ground. Earlier this morning I sent off this letter to a prospective team letter. Take a look below. I'll try to keep you posted as the project continues! -Janet Rohrs Edited May 9, 2011 by gci2011

gci2011
^Thanks everyone! 1976 Hello, Today I took Ms. Lemon on a tour of the site. It looks like she is officially on board as the Finance Director. Now that we have someone to manage the money, construction can start soon. Here's a picture I took today of the site. I'll be back soon as more goes on! -Janet Rohrs

mcjaco
Honestly guys, you've been around too long: 3.) Do NOT start a thread for a park if you only have one screenshot, just a Photoshoped logo, or screencaps taken from a digital camera. We want quality posts and threads. Get your park, or track, started and moving along before you need to make an announcement. A video of your park will suffice, as those take time to put together and edit. gci2011
Those are from Old Spice's Tree Extension Set, but beware: they create AWFUL lag. I tried them because I've heard good things about them, but the lag was so bad that I had to delete all of them. EDIT: mcjaco, What about CD5's first post on Six Flags South Carolina? Just saying, more is coming tonight... Edited February 1, 2011 by gci2011
mcjaco
EDIT: mcjaco, What about CD5's first post on Six Flags South Carolina? More is coming tomorrow... One, his post has been editted numerous times. I have no idea if he had more added to it. Two, CD5 has been around here a long time, and I think his threads speak for themselves. They're always updated, and get a lot of traffic. Three, don't get mouthy. I put that rule up for a reason. If you don't like, and don't wnat to abide by it, there's other forums for you. gci2011
I agree that his parks are excellent, but that is beside the point. My parks have been updated consistently too. Not being mouthy by any means, I hope it doesn't come off like that. I'm only defending my posts. I have more pictures coming tonight.
gci2011
Bad news: RCT3 keeps crashing on me. I get a crash dump almost every time I try to get on. Now it won't let me even get into the park, saying that Soaked! isn't installed, but it is. I'm able to get on other parks that use Soaked!, so what's up? Any idea how I can fix this? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1976 Hello again, Construction has begun! It's been a few weeks and we've been working on the parking lot recently. I got a few shots of the work today. Take a look below. -Janet Rohrs Here's the parking lot. The park entrance will eventually be about where I was standing to take this picture.

gci2011
1976 Hello, We've been doing a lot of land clearing on the site. Our main entrance gate is now finished and "High Street" is coming up fast! Check out the pictures below. -Janet Rohrs The entrance has a bit more modern/industrial feel to it, but High Street will feature more traditional architecture. The facade for the High Street Train Station is up, but the building isn't done yet.
tiger01
It looks much better than the last one! This park has some real potential for being up their with the top. I like the entrance.
gci2011
^Thanks! ------------ 1976 Hello, Its been a few weeks since my last update. Since then, the High Street Train Station has been completed. Turnstiles for the Main Entrance will be installed next week. Take a look below. -Janet Rohrs Here's the exterior of the HSTS looking towards the entrance. Here's a better head-on view of the HSTS. [Note: There are dormers in the empty spots on the roof, they just don't show up because I zoomed out a bit] Here's the interior of HSTS. Queue railings have been installed, so you can get a general idea of where the queue is.
tiger01
Will the Train just be a scenic route or does it go from destination to destination? And I think You should put In a Vireduct like the one on the Painton to Darthmouth Railway. I think that would look really nice. And I really like the architecture. gci2011
^Good idea! If I can do it, I will! ------------------------------------------ 1976 Hello, Work is still progressing. Turnstiles have been installed and a picnic shelter has been put up as well. We've got a new shop going up on High Street, rumor has it that it's going to be some type of eatery. We'll have to wait and see! -Janet Rohrs Turnstiles have been installed in the Main Entrance. The picnic shelter was built with families in mind! It's getting colder here now that fall is setting in. -Janet Rohrs This new eatery has gone up - it's going to be an Ice Cream Shop. The inside of the shop has been furnished with a few tables and vintage ice cream advertisements on the walls.
