Canobie Fan Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 www.canobiefan.com/vids/scream_swing.mpg Dorney Parks lame screaming swing.
DenDen Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 gee, that was lame, hope Kennywood's is better. (Longer ride time with the larger capacity.)
coasterking Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Yeah I thought it was supposed to invert. :?
Canobie Fan Posted August 15, 2005 Author Posted August 15, 2005 It doesnt go all the way around.. but at 2 points on the ride (one in the video) you can see the other arm from in the air
viking86 Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 The Screamin Swing at Thorpe park was pretty weak. It was a fun ride, but I expected it to be more powerful and have more airtime.
benzo41190 Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Well it looks like the height of a KMG Afterburner. Although it would be cool if both a Screaming Swing and a Afterburnner went all the way around. Maybe next year they will create a 360 Afterburner.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 That was a really short ride...I would have thought it would have had some more of the powerful swings...lastly, those Booh Bah things were scary.
YoshiFan Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Wow, looks like a waste of $5 (or however much it is). I will probably be at Dorney next month and am going to skip it for sure after seeing this video
Canobie Fan Posted August 16, 2005 Author Posted August 16, 2005 lol its $5... And I took 3 rides on it. Its "fun" but not anything great. I would put it last on a list of top up-charge rides...
imbordisux Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Wow, I loved the Swing; the feeling of weightlessness at the apex of the swings was unreal. Seems like I like a lot of rides most people don't (this, Hydra, Rolling Thunder); maybe I just have bad taste.
4718 Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I rode the one at Knott's, it was okay, but I don't think I'd blow another $5 on it. Besides, Dive Devil at SFMM blows away just about anything else, and Thrill Shot was scarier than the "Swing".
