Yeah, im still debating going. My wife said "OK" for BAB and im thinking putting this one past her will be kinda hard, unless i make it family day. Still she has a low tolerance for coasters, she starts getting dizzy, so maybe ill get to run around the park solo and get some rides in during ERT. Got the AAA magazine and yeah it seems easier to get um online.

Well maybe you could make it a 'guys day/night out'.

From the AAA website in case anyone is wondering where you can purchase tickets:

AAA members are invited to enjoy a full day at Six Flags Magic Mountain and stay for a private AAA member event on Friday, May 21st from 6pm-12am. For just $25 per ticket, members will enjoy full use of the rides, shows, food, and merchandise concessions, even after the crowds have left. To purchase tickets to this special event, visit AAA.com/sixflags.

I would imagine that your local AAA office would sell tickets as well, but I haven't checked into that yet. (My office is less than two miles from home.) Hope that helps any of you who might have wondered.

^ I'm still on the fence about it. It's tough to try and squeeze in these things when even a small amount of money is hard to come by. Also, I tried going to the website, but it took me around and around in circles. Maybe I'll just go over to the AAA office and try there.

But I'll keep you guys posted on what I end up doing.

I know about money "&@$%"! I'm just getting over WCB expenses which occurred all over SoCal and thinking about ACE's two Halloween events and then this pops up. You can take care of your ticket but if you need to crash VERY locally, I know you live close, I'm right here Thurs-Sat.

Im gonna go, but I need to find a ride there. My mom won't let me drive

I could maybe help you out but I'm going up Thursday afternoon and coming back Saturday morning. Plus I am in Long Beach.

I went to my local AAA and they directed me to http://www.aaa.com/sixflags to buy the tickets. You first have to register your AAA card and create a profile before doing this, else you'll just be redirected to their login page. After that, click on purchase tickets. Even though the special event is not mentioned on the first page, continue through and it will be listed as one of the ticket choices.

Hope that helps everyone.

^ Thanks for the help. I did register and ended up going around the website a few times, but finally found where to purchase the tickets. The thing is, now I don't know if I can attend---or should attend. The next day (May 22), I have to take Diana to LAX for her trip to Indianapolis. I'm not sure if I want to be at SFMM till midnight, drive home, and try to get up early and get her to the airport. I'll pretty much play it by ear.

Let's get together either in the morning or later on for dinner or something and make this an unofficial TPR mini-WCB. Hopefully Robb and Elissa won't be offended.

P.S.: EBL

Eric, if you have time problems with transportation I will be staying right there in Valencia Thursday and Friday nights and you can crash with me if that helps.

I might be going. I need to talk with my friend first, and see if I have something else scheduled for that day (because I swear I do), but if things work out, I'd love to go.

Funny thing...we got our latest issue of Westways magazine yesterday and there was an ad in it for this event. I can't recall seeing the ad in the last issue (they come out bi-monthly). But regardless, I've already been able to get to the website to sign up if I still in fact can go.

I'm going to be there. Coming up Thursday afternoon and leaving Saturday morning. Staying at the Best Western. Wish all of us TPR's could hook-up for dinner or something.

Sorry guys, but I had to cancel at the last minute. I was hoping that by canceling this event, I would have the time to make it to BAB, now it seems, I wont have the time to do either.

Hey guys,

I just happen to be visiting SFMM on friday 5/21 (coming down from WA), I don't have a AAA membership, but I know someone who does. Do we need to present the card at the park? or can we just use my friends card to purchase the tickets online?

Also Do you guys think I should get a flash pass (gold or reg.) for this day?

Thanks in advance, any help/advice is appreciated

I don't think a flash pass is needed. The park will be open to us from 10:30am and then exclusively from 6pm to midnight. I bought a buddy a ticket who also is not a AAA member. I was told by SFMM only the ticket buyer has to be a member but anyone with a ticket in their name can attend. If you're buying a ticket on-site you'll have to be with a 'card-carrying member' but in advance online you can get one.

Thanks beachkid,

So my friend can buy my ticket for me, even though they themselves are not going?

Does anyone know how 6PM-12AM private AAA will be enforced? Does AAA have different tickets or get wristbands?

Sorry to ask these kind of questions, I just want to make sure I don't get asked to leave because I don't have a AAA card, and want to make the most of my visit since I'm from WA.

Thanks in advance!!

^^I'm pretty sure there will be wristbands.

Just like WCB, they close the park and make the 'regular guests' leave, while those with TPR lanyards were allowed access.
