PhantomNick
I certainly don't "prefer" SLC's by any means, but I also don't think they're terrible coasters either. Perhaps I've just had good luck so far and not ridden some of the truly evil ones! I am a fan of the layout of even the standard SLC's, but I do admit they're rougher around the edges than any B&M invert. I do love inverted coasters in general, and typically a B&M invert rates at least an 8 out of 10 for me. As for the SLC's, they have fallen into the 6-7 range, depending on how rough they ride. I've always wondered what that ride would be like if B&M built it with the same layout. Would it be smooth?
davisal771
^^^ I gotta agree with you about seat placement being an enormous factor on an SLC. Some seats will be incredibly smooth, while others will beat the living shit out of you.
Skycoastin Steve
I prefer SLCs over things like getting stabbed with a fireplace poker, eating nails, sticking my head in an oven, and getting crapped on by a flock of pigeons. As much as I'm really not a fan of Batman clones, SLCs are just about the most evil creations on this planet, just behind Boomerangs.
FeelTheFORCE
The only decent SLC I have ridden was the Great Nor Easter at Morey's Piers because of the better OTSRs. I'm usually good after one ride on all other SLCs. BTRs I can ride all day.
