itnotfair Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 I've been searching the web and the TPR forum for any mention of the coaster lineup at the 2009 OC fair, but I couldn't find anything. Anyone have any info? Thanks!
Crazy4Coasters! Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I'll probably be there on Friday but I don't remember seeing any info about any coasters at the fair. I hope to be pleasantly surprised though...
Jew Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I'm almost certain it's the same as it has been the last few years... Hi Miler, the spinning mouse, and a couple of kiddie coasters.
BelizeIt Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 The beginning part of this video shows some of the coasters at the O.C. Fair. The rest of the video focuses on attractions for the KidTums age set.
Angry_Gumball Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Is it Butler amusements who runs the show down there? They are up here at the Alameda County Fair (was going to go last Sunday, came down with flu instead) and they had a Wacky Worm, a Zillerator (whoever makes that not sure) some other kids coaster, and a Pole Position spinning coaster.
ebl Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 ^ It's Ray Cammack Shows for the O.C. Fair, San Diego (Del Mar) Fair, and L.A. County Fair. They used to do the Ventura County Fair, but stopped several years ago because of the conflict with the O.C. Fair. They own the Hi-Miler, so if you ever see that at a fair, then you know RCS is working the midway. Eric
metrock Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I'll be at the fair today and will be tweeting with pictures and video. I'll make sure to find out what coasters they have this year. You can follow me at the twitter link below in my signature.
The Disneylander Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Looks like the same selection as last year. I must say, the Hi Miler was quite intense.
RCFreak Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 ^A ridiculously easy Google search turned up the main site http://www.ocfair.com/2009/ which says the fair runs untill August 9 closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

That's why they have the different spinning mouse.
itnotfair Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 Cool, thanks for the info, guys! I'll definitely have to get out there this year. But this time, no pre-ride malt liquor in the parking lot! (Don't ask!)
Crazy4Coasters! Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 The Hi-Miler was a real fun ride. Me and my girlfriend rode in the back seat today and enjoyed a very nice dose of ejector time on the hills... Good stuff!
metrock Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Well that was a fun time at the fair. Kinda funny that I didn't make it on one coaster, even with the unlimited wristband. Spent all my time on the flat rides. And by the way, Al's Brain was AWESOME.
