speedmetal
We found ourselves with two consecutive days off, so we planned a trip to Kentucky Kingdom and Holiday World. Unfortunately I started to get sick, so Erik asked me if I wanted to cancel the trip. I'm sure you can guess by now that we didn't cancel the trip. I decided to go to the doctor after. So we split up the trip reports. Erik took Kentucky Kingdom and I took Holiday World. Now, I'm sure a lot of people went to Holiday World this year for the new exciting water ride. But not me. I went for my favorite wooden coaster, Raven. Let's just say Pilgrims Plunge was a nice addition to Splashin' Safari, and leave it at that. Turkey pizza actually sounds pretty good. Gobble gobble gobble. I love to whirl like a turkey. Erik's best photo of Voyage. He sucks. My best photo of Voyage. Thanksgiving plays songs about food. Making a big splash. Which came first, Legend or the water park? Yup, that's the water park entrance. Who you gonna call? Legend. It's just so pretty. I can never turn down a swing ride. I'm gettin' hungry for candy corn. It took Erik 15 minutes and he came back with a pretty good shot. Raven. Back to Holiday World. Round 2, Halloween. They have 32 different flavors of candy canes. Candy Canes...yes please. They cleaned up Frosty. Last year he looked like he had mange. I'm spoiled. Time to dry off and go to sleep. And then it turns back on. Don't worry, it turns off. Who wants a drink? A little boring. Water was invading my space. This is a sign. I could ride Chaos but not Revolution. Go figure. I love Fliers. Look the new traffic light! Mary crying over her missed kiddie credit. Freedom ain't nothing but a sandwich. Cockel Look at these stupid adults crammed into the kiddie car. Monopoly anyone? Way cooler than it sounds. Spoony spoony spoon spoon! I still don't get the difference between a Merry-Go-Round and a Carousel. Spiders can look pretty too. Looking at a swing ride is even better. Looks like a fun car ride. Let's see whats over here. It was yummy. But Erik was more interested in the decorations. Got it and some of Erik's. I needed my pizza fix. Applause Award Santa said Erik was on the good list. Hmm?? I like bananas. Erik trying to be Santa. There she is in all her awesomeness. I'm a nerd. This was exciting to see. Santa Claus, Indiana's first traffic light. DBru
Great PTR! I really loved the photos... Do you have a larger version of the picture of The Legend and Splashin' Safari? I'd love to use it as my desktop background.
shesaidboom
Wow, Pilgrim's Plunge looks terrifying!!! Great photos!
Electerik
I still don't get the difference between a Merry-Go-Round and a Carousel. I still don't understand why carousels are always in buildings. They have roofs already.... Pilgram's Plunge was highly meh. It's a lot like their log flume, to be honest. I just don't think it was a very good addition. But I still love Holiday World. TheRapidsNerd
Looks like a fun trip and definitely entertaining. Some of those shots would be EXCELLENT additions to the Park Index (wink wink nudge nudge), particularly the color shot of of the swings with the sign. Enjoyed the water park and Rapids pics much too. Always appreciated. Hey, I'd get a picture with Pat Koch too. Being a Nerd has it's merits. Thanks for sharing this one. Will get to the SFKK PTR shortly.

Electerik
Wow, Pilgrim's Plunge looks terrifying!!! It's really not, though. Not even the elevator lift. Honestly, the whole thing is kind of dull. I think I would have preferred it if it was just an observation tower--then I could have at least taken photos of the park from the top.
EnglndPatriots6
Too me it looks scary lol. The drop is ok, the elevator lift would make me flip out. Thats what the park needs really. Or a sky ride lol. that would make the park almost a 10/10 for me.
Emiroo
PP is definitely more bark than bite. It looks imposing, but is really a teddy bear. It's fun, but just isn't as thrilling as the "World's Tallest" moniker suggests it will be. I'd trade it for Tidal Force at Hersheypark in a second. Heck, I'd trade it for Mile High Falls at SFKK. And HW will never be 10/10 in my book until they get a custom B&M invert. But that's just me.
EnglndPatriots6
lol. They should have made the drop more steeper. And at least themed it and given it like 2-3 more drops. Well i dont ride anything that goes upside down yet so i could live without it lol (i had bad experiences when i was kid)

CorkscrewFoley
Nice pics and trip report. I loved the combination of colour and black and white...too bad you didn't have any sepia lying around.
