ryno1986 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Keep in mind it's counting the tallest coasters, not the tallest drops. Therefore, even if Superman the Escape only goes halfway up the tower nowadays, it's still the same height.
pat_naughty05 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I (Mr. Bebe) have to agree with coolcalicoasters. Not only does S:TE only ascend to about 325ft (on a good day), it also starts a good 50 feet above ground level. Hardly the ride they make it sound like. TTD and KK are truly 400+ foot monsters that actually carry the passengers to those extremes. Now, if S:TE mnaged to get people near the top, that would be another story. Well, even if you did the math and subtracted the 50 feet above ground level from the proposed 325 foot traveling distance, that still leaves you with 275 feet, which would still land it on the list. Perhaps in a different spot, but on the list nonetheless.
philcoaster83 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 4 out of 10 for me, TTD, MF, Thunder Dolphin and Fujiyama - all done in the summer of 2005. I really need to get back to the states or Japan! Have been on Goliath and Silver Star - but I don't count those in the top ten.
rawrtotheargh Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Only 3. Unless Goliath counts as Titan. But obviously not.
Lenaapple1974 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I haven't been on any of those yet! Japan seems to rock the tall coasters. But by summer's end, I will have been on the fastest and tallest, so that has got to count for ... something, right?
