So I (daniel) get back home after losing to catholics and beating a bunch of whining jerks at summer volleyball league, last night (7/26/05). I made my way home and I ate food. My sister, Nara just comes home from work.. She asks if she should go to the gym today, and she already went this morning i said no go to sleep. so anyways...

She wanted to get an iPod shuffle, so when she goes to the gym she can listen to her music... and apparently there is a sale at Target for 30 dollars of a 1 GB sized shuffle.

We go to the nearest target, buy 150 dollars worth of stuff (all the little things seem to add up...), and yet they have no ipod shuffles! gasp, so we press the button that will bring a associate out to assist my sister and I. He comes at "blazing speeds" and starts talking about how the target he works at is a piece of crap and how the phone doesn't work so he cant check the stock out for us at different target..

We head to the newest target, a giant two story target located at a mall.. and they have this coolest escaltor system! the carts have a separted escaltor system.. man this was the time i wish i would have brought a camera! It was super cool, the carts would latch on to a lift hill and the wheels were perch on to level metal sliders, it was awesome.. We checked to see if they had any, and there were none! We trekked to the guy at the counter and they had actual working phones! and they call another target and put one on hold for my sister... and then we drive... farther... fun stuff...

We just finished parking at the ghettoest of all targets out in north Long Beach.. and they have a gazillion iPod shuffles.. it was like in and out and spent more money! yay 300 dollars in two hours! while driving back home we talked and concluded that ghetto people cant afford iPod shuffles... maybe thats why they had so many...

Well. thats it. we got one. hooray for her.

Maybe one night we'll return to target and reenact the situation and we'll take pictures!

That's awesome that you have so many targets near you!

As for your TR, well, it could have been worse, you could have been going to Walmarts!

The Target by me has that too. It's awesome when it's working, which is about half the time.

One of the mall targets has one of those cart escalators as well. I thought it was pretty cool when I first saw it and would have probably prefered riding that up instead of the 2 adjacent people escalators.

I think I've done that once. Visit more than one Wal*Mart in one day to find a certain product.

I dont really shop for deals, so I haven't gone to more than one of the same store before.

I have however been to many different stores.

I think one time I was looking for a video game and when to EBgames, walmart, target, circuit city, and maybe 1 or 2 other places. Each store said the game wasnt fore sale yet, and had a different date when it was going to be available. The official release date was that day.

I work at the only Target within at least 30 miles of Gainesville, and everyone keeps wanting us to build more. People will drive for fifty miles, past several Walmarts to us. Our store is relatively plain (no cool escalators, but we do have one of those remote control cart pushing machines), except the store gets swamped with college students (and their families) during the "back to college" season.

As for checking for the shuffles in stock, employees in the electronics deparment should have a little PDT scanner thing that can check the stockroom. Also, there's a feature on the register that can search the stockroom AND other stores in the area.

I'm surprised none of them asked you if you wanted to apply for a Target card.

I wish my Target had one of these

I could go to like 5 differnt walmarts in almost 1 hour!

and spend three hundred dollars too?

^Well, I guess the guy at my Target was too lazy to get his scanner thingy... or he already had too many request or something..

Oh I forgot about this... To Add to the Target #3 Ghettoness.. the sign that told people where everything is had spanish translation beneath.

Dang, i really need to go back and take pictures and reenact everything

Around here, each wal mart is different...the farther away, the better. The 2 closest wal marts are over-crowded, messy, and have pallets all over the main walkways...how are we supposed to get to an area if it's blocked with pallets? One of the wal marts is about 20 minutes from us, which is the farthest one we go to, but it's the best...not crowded, no stuck up people, no pallets, no mess.

^^ same here in NE Ohio. I've got 7 walmarts w/in 10 miles of me and 5 Home Depots in 8 miles. There is 1 Target, Super Kmart, and at least 5 Malls within 12 miles of me.

No lack of shopping here.
