Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 Dang...... The train I rode was taken apart. I've never seen a park (except for Fantazy Land) that deserted! That's just amazing, as it was packed when I went! I wonder if that's a sign for when I go back around Terminator opening time.....
Rollerman87 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Remember, we are in between seasons (spring break and summer), so yep, it's as dead as it was January/February time frame. Come summer and then those won't be walk on lines
CreditCrazy Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Wow...I've never seen the park that empty (or more like dead)! In fact, it's always seemed like Knott's has been one of the more crowded parks. In the summer it seems to always be extremely crowded, and not even just the summer...Sunday's in January have even been busy. The parking lot usually seems to always be full, and so do the rides...

Think about it logically. Weekends on an off season would still be pretty busy due to the fact that no one is in school. But on and off season weekday, we ride ops might end staring at each other all day, for people are working or at school. Only a few tourists and other people come in on those days. Weekends are totally opposite of weekdays.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 ^Maybe it'd be more fun for ride ops, maybe other ones jump on the ride while the general op and restraint op operate it. That would be one heck of a break.
megamatt Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Nice trip report. I wish I could go to a huge park like this sometime soon. *sigh* The biggest parks around here are SFNE(I HATE IT) and Lake Compounce(never been). Canobie Lake is my favorite but it gets tiresome going to the exact same park over and over again sometimes.
Guest Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Why do you hate SFNE? Its one of the nicer SF parks IMO and has one of the best steel coasters in the world. Also why havent you been on Lake Compounce, so close to SFNE and is a really nice little park with a great coaster.
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 ^^Dude, how F**king small is SFNE to make you think Knott's is a huge park? Knott's is the size of a city block!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 Nice trip report. I wish I could go to a huge park like this sometime soon. Actually, I think SFNE is better. But going to a different park is always fun. I think Knott's has more coasters, is that what you look for in a park?
SuperMikeo Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 If Knott's was bigger than SFNE that would be Bizzare. O. Nyuck Nyuck. Seriously though, don't hate SFNE. You have the best Intamin hyper in the country. And why haven't you been to Compounce and on Boulder Dash??? Knott's is tiny man, literally one city block (as mentioned.) It's so small that they have to uncomfortably squeeze a ridiculous amount of steel coaster track into every available visual frame. After my ranting bout Knott's several days ago, I realized truly what I like most. Here is a hint: I was eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. Mmmm. Jelly. Knott's Jelly > Knott's
ghost007jas Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 ^ Yeah, that sounds about right. I'm going to go have some PB&J... Knott's Blackberry Jam.. Mmm.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 ^But KBF Boysen Berry still disses KBF Blackberry in the face!
KnottsDisneyFarm Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Independence Hall is in PA, not SoCal... Unless you were being sarcastic They built an exact replica. It's actually where they filmed most of National Treasure. "The only other coaster where I've seen queue vending is waiting for Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point." They have vending machines in line for XLR8R too. Wow, Six Flags Enthuseast, your PTRs are so different. Also, Pony Express is NOT worth waiting an hour for. First of all, it is short. 2nd, it's just not fun. BTW, the Ferris wheel you saw was probably the one at the Irvine Spectrum.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 ^Did I ever say it was fully worth waiting for an hour to ride? Oh yes, I forgot about the ones in Xcelerator. Geeze, what was up with me? If you guys want to see some more of KBF, I'll be posting it after I get finished with DAY 5: SFMM Terminator Salvation: The Ride Media Day Event. If you've already seen some of it, sorry I didn't update last Saturday. I've been extremely busy this week and I haven't really been able to keep up with updates. But I should be able to update on Sunday or Monday.......(Hopefully )
ctriceman Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Great TR! That car you took a pic of is actually a ford thunderbird from the mid 80's dressed up.
