This is my first trip report and it's of Six Flags Over Georgia! My photos are ok I guess but I'll let you guys decide. Enjoy!

Let's start off in Atlanta. Pretty cool city.

Olympics sign and torch.

Turner field. I got to go to a Braves game on 4/16/09, They lost.

On to Six Flags!!

The best picture I took there. lol

Batman: the ride

More Batman

Mindbender from the tram.

GASM = Insanely rough!

I waited an hour for this! lol

Superman Ultimate flight. Waited an hour for it, it was pretty good. My first Flyer.

Sorry I didn't get many pictures of superman.

Sadly I did not ride the Ninja. As you can see I really didn't want to wait an hour for it because I didn't have enough advill for the after ride headache! lmao

Ehhh......not a day for thunder river.

Got to ride Goliath and I must say it had alot of ejector airtime in the back!

I went over to gotham city, didn't ride batman but did ride mindbender.

Acrophobia was a really scarry/insane ride!

Well despite the incredibly long lines and rude people it was a pretty fun day!

^ There had to be a large convention of masochists at the park that day for lines at Ninja to be THAT long...

Great TR! I went to SFOG two years ago and was really impressed, the park was beautiful and the rides were mostly great! I'm still wondering why the mine train felt like it CRASHED in one of the tunnels!

I guess living 90 minutes away from Six Flags America, I'm impressed whenever I go to a Six Flags park with decent operations and.. trees!

^^^Well thats where I went wrong. lol

^^yea it was, I waited atleast an hour for almost everything! but it was fun. Goliath was the best and last ride of the day and I cant wait to go back!

^Well I live an hour from ALL the florida parks so it has tough competition.

Thanks

This park is one of the prettiest of the chain but the coaster selection sucks pretty much. Goliath is probably the best in the chain of Goliaths but the only beef I have with it is it is way too short of a ride but actually delivers more thrill than the others and also this park had the WORSE operations of any park I had been to with Great Adventure following. Lazy and sluggish employees. There is no excuse for ANY train to load over 1 1/2 mins.

Yea I noticed that after a few rides. and this is the only six flags park I've been to since it the closest one from where I live.

Well acrophobia adds that extra 18" tilt at the top and your almost facing straight down when you drop! I know its not as tall but IMO its way scarier!

I couldn't possibly disagree with you more. I am famous for bashing my home park. I agree that our operations are terrible. That is mainly what I complain about. Also, a couple years ago SFGAdv's operations may not have been that great but have been outstanding in the past two years.

As for the coaster selection, I think we have a great selection with 4 B&Ms. Goliath continues to be my favorite B&M hyper as I really struggle to see what people see in Nitro. They are basically the same rides but with the hammerhead and helix switched but Goliath has so much more airtime. Nitro is very tame and has nothing more than slight floater air on a few of its hills. Also, not being a fan of stand ups, Georgia Scorcher is the best one I have been on. We have a great Schwarzkopf with Mindbender. Also, while Batman and Superman are clones, they are favorites with the general public and most enthusiasts love Batman. While I feel that our lineup was much stronger with Dejavu (very unreliable but something unique that everybody loved), we still have great coasters.

I didnt say that you shouldnt like the selection I said that I didnt. I did find the green coaster by the batman to be the most fun after goliath, but if u have been to SFMM and road Viper, the Ninja would pale in comparison. If u been to SFMM and road Tatsu, Superman would pale in comparison and so on. I guess it is all about where everyone has been. I did say that the park is extremely pretty, probably the most with the trees and the hills. Also the last time I was at SFGA was in 2005 and it was horrible then but i have heard that it is better now. I have just gotten immuned to SF period. Most of them have clones from another and no originality. Goliath is wonderful but needed to be 1000ft longer to be a killer coaster. The thrill is over too quickly.

Goliath rocks, but the operations are horrible. With two trains, they were stacking like crazy. And they did make up for it....they said if we scream and have our hands up the whole time, we get an extra ride! And that's how I got two back to back rides...in the front; and then back to back....in the back!

On Cyclone, one of the ride operators took my seat; I was waiting for a good 5 minutes, and he blatantly saw me waiting...and he just sat in my seat and dispatched!

Horrible service and operations.....bad ass rides and a pretty park. That's SFOG.

Acrophobia is freaking amazing.

Also, as far as Goliath needing to be longer, its really the same length in time as the other hypers. The only reason Nitro is 1,000 feet longer is due to the fact that each hill is slightly taller.

Also, PKI Man, how does Diamondback compare to Goliath? I will be visiting your park in a week on my way to my new park for the summer, Cedar Point.

yes most of the coasters wern't up to my standards either due to the fact that I live an hour from all the florida parks and can go to IOA,BGA,USF, SWO,and more when ever i want. but Goliath did feel really short but so does sheikra, hulk, and dueling dragons.

The green coaster? Dude, you can have any opinion you want, but if you're going to talk like the GP, you'll have to hand in your enthusiast card.
