tiger01 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I am, I just don't hang around RPR that often anymore.
netdvn Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 You're still one of the best model-builders on the site. No reason why I can't keep following this. Â I'm glad to see you're still working on this project and not leaving it off to the side. It's getting better and better.
SoCalCoasters Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Very interested! I bet Sea World would love to host your model once you finish it. It really is amazing how you make these models. The process is time consuming but the final product looks beautiful.
themeparkman25 Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Just a quick update of the station progressing.
themeparkman25 Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 The station is now complete. I am so thrilled with how the entrance to the ride and aquarium has turned out. Next up will be painting the station and then beginning to lay the grass and plant the trees. Things should come together quickly now. Â Let me know what you think!
tiger01 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 The image you posted is upside down. This is still great! I can't wait to see the final product!
themeparkman25 Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Sorry for the pics being upside down. I'm posting from an iPad and it looks normal to me! Â The station is done for the most part. I need to add the fountain off the front side but other than that it is done. Â I am now working on the grass and path. The path is made of clay and spread out thinly to add some character to the model. The grass is being done in sheets/fabric because I thought it looked a lot more realistic. It is tougher, though, because I have to cut holes out for the supports. Â Let me know your thoughts!
ElectricFerret Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 This is all just amazing. Mindblowing is the best adjective! great job and please keep up the great work. Awesome stuff mate!
imawesome1124 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 It's awesome that you're still working on this! It looks really awesome, I would never have the patience to do anything like this.
themeparkman25 Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 After nearly four years of construction, I present Manta. Â Thank you for the support in completing this project.
traincrossin Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 That is just gorgeous man, glad you were finally able to finish it!
Yamez Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 It looks awesome! Great work here, are you going to send the pics out to the Sea World PR folks? I'm sure they'd love to share it.
SoCalCoasters Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Can a mod put this on the front pages? Seriously, this is front page worthy material!
YOLO Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Man, These things look great! Â Do you have anything else planned?
Cavs Fan Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Wow dude that is incredible. Your talent is unreal. Â ...do you think you could whip up another one really fast so I can put it in my room?
The49er Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 That Manta model is epic! It makes me want to forget about my favorite roller coaster (Tatsu) and go with #2, Alpengeist
