brilinjo Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 well darklingscribe, I also have a bad back after lifting a 40kg/88lb sack of fertiliser on Saturday (I swear I bent my knees), but nothing that painkillers and red wine can't cure. I have a fairly easy one, to keep the topic moving:
darklingscribe Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I see we have a fellow gardener in these forums. I'm sorry to say that aside from my artichokes I haven't really had time to plant anything this year. Â You know I've only ever seen Star Anise in seed pod form, what dose the plant look like? It is like fennel? I tried growing fennel last year but the aphids killed everything I planted and nothing I tried put a dent in their population.
brilinjo Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Star anise is correct. I'm not sure what the plant looks like, it grows in the tropics.
darklingscribe Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I'm just reposting this to remind people that there still is an unsolved WTF picture in the mix. Â
andyuk200523 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I'm just reposting this to remind people that there still is an unsolved WTF picture in the mix.  Looks like a steadycam bracket?
darklingscribe Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Close enough that I think I'll give it to you. It is a Pro GPI steadicam arm with spring canisters.
andyuk200523 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Thats kinda what I meant to write, but the words did not flow when I was typing! Â Ok, Not sure how easy you guys will find this one, but here goes! What am I?
paintballer Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 It's a close up of some kind of Fiber optic plug.
andyuk200523 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 It's a close up of some kind of Fiber optic plug. Â Close enough, it is a Fibre Optic Loopback Wrap Plug, primarily seen in Large Server farms..... (Smaller ones too, but I am not going to list all their applications) Â Here is a better view of it.
paintballer Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Interesting. Â I should give you guys a hint to give ya'll a chance. A man named Travis Haley helped develope this product.
darklingscribe Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Is it used in internal medicine? Like an artificial joint?
paintballer Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 No sir, another hint, It guards something that if left unguarded would be very dangerous. I'll give it a day and if nothing comes up I'll post the brand name and ya'll can find it that way.
andyuk200523 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I know it is something to do with guns, so my guess is the safety catch from a pistol?
paintballer Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I'll give it to SCBT. Â It's a magpul triggergaurd for an AR-15.
Troll Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 That's the front derailleur for a mountain bike
