^ I've ridden Batman, Revolution, Viper, Colossus, Goliath and Viper in the rain. I'd assume that if Batman can, Scream could and possibly Riddler.

But it's not supposed to be pouring down, driving type rain. Just showers.

I think the biggest concern rides would be Ninja, Superman and Deja Vu.

Hi everyone!

My partner and I are in the Best Western across the freeway from Magic Mountain and we're both excited about the event tomorrow! Unfortunately, we both have a bit of a cold so we'll be sure we're bundled up for both ERT sessions.

Is anyone else staying at this hotel? The free wireless connection is working well!

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the rain bypasses tonight and in the AM. Either way, it will be fun! Some of the best coaster rides I've had have been in the rain!

As of this afternoon, the southbound exit to Magic Mountain on I-5 did have one lane open. I'm not sure about the northbound exit. Perhaps I'll update again in a little while if I find out any more info. Right now, the weather here is nice.

I did manage to see the parking lot at Magic Mountain today and it looked PACKED!!! It did appear that the entire parking lot was full and there were PLENTY of cars heading into the park after 1:00 PM. It is a good thing that we have ERT coming. Perhaps many people visited the park today instead of taking a chance with the rain tomorrow.

Until later,

Kevin

Can't wait for tomorrow! I barely post on here (I fail at forums), but I'm totally looking forward to meeting everyone. This is my first TPR event, my friend Jamie's first coaster event & her first time at MM in 7 or 8 years. I know we can show her that while we're all a bunch of coaster nerds, we're all a bunch of fun... pretty much why I thought a TPR event would be perfect to get her feet wet!

Also, we totally want to do the Scavenger hunt, so if anyone needs two for their team, let us know!

Goliath can be a face killer in the rain... Rode Ninja and Tatsu in light rain about a month or so ago.

Just to echo comments earlier, SFMM management totally deserves kudos for going out of their way to make this a great event.

As long as X2 is warmed up well it can operate in the rain. Wind, on the other hand, could be the biggest issue for it. The B&M coasters' drive tires might slip in the rain so those coasters may go down. Ninja cannot operate under something like 65 degrees either.

Posting from the Hilton Garden Inn. Just got back from the park and it was PACKED! Line for Goliath was to the lockers. Line for Scream was out into the courtyard. It was 60 degrees and cloudy and didn't really feel that cold. See you all tomorrow.

Hopefully, the rain discourages some people (not from TPR) to negate their decision on going tommorow. Thank goodness, Robb and Chris, and SFMM for ERT.

Also a huge thanks to SFMM for having an awesome staff and coming in early to have one of Jahan's babies (and 1 of our favorite coasters) open.

A little late to post this seeing as WCB is tomorrow... but does anyone know what vegetarian/vegan food options magic mountain has? I haven't been there since becoming vegan.

I know they have Johnny Rockets in the park, which normally have veggie burgers, but the Johnny Rockets website says the magic mountain locations have limited menus. Anyone know if any of the Johnny Rockets there have a veggie burger?

Just trying to see if I need to bring snacks with me or if I'll be able to find something in the parks.

I'm not totally sure but I think I remember some kind of sushi place in the vicinity of Goliath. I haven't been to Magic Mt. in a good while so I'm not up on what their food offerings are at the moment. You might want to bring those snacks with you just in case. Does Johnny Rockets serve salads?

Time to use my time bending skills to make the storm pass over-night

Seriously, I'm pretty bummed out about the rain.

I prayed for WCB tickets: granted.

I pray for not too much rain tomorrow: pending.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who attended the party tonight! We had a blast! Hope you guys weren't too annoyed at the not-so-fair trivia game!

I'm totally wiped out and I have to get up in 5 hours and do it all over again!

See you in the morning. Cross your fingers for better weather. Doesn't look like much rain, but it's the cold temps and wind I'm worried about the most now....

West Coast Bash weather update!

At the moment (6:06am) it is going from "clear, but damp" to "rainy" on and off here in Valencia. That being said here is an updated radar for today:

http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/?lat=34.41041946&lon=-118.57572174&zoom=10&pin=Valencia%2c%20CA

Forecast does look "spotty" throughout the day meaning we will get some rain, but it will be scattered and the worst of it being over by the time our Magic Moments Theater presentation is done. (don't quote me though, I'm not a weather dude!)

This could mean for some AMAZING night time ERT if this forecast holds true.

Hope to see everyone at the park shortly! And remember, if you're on your way, there is a Starbucks right off the Magic Mountain Parkway exit!
