First off, I would like to thank Angel, Jenn, Travel Channel, and the entire Kingda Ka crew for the great day! Also as well Travel Channel! I was invited as well as Dainan with some many familiar faces to be filmed for the new Travel Channel show, "Exteme" which will premier as Extreme Thrill Rides featuring: Millennium Force, Beast, Kingda Ka, Fahrenheit, and more between late July and August!

Today was great; though extremely early! I actually woke up earlier then I would on a school day... god sakes but it was great and fun! Rode Ka a TON of times, tried to force a rollback (didn't work out so well..), got to see the public come in from a different stand-point, and act like Homer Simpson on Ka! Anyways to the part you guys have been waiting for... the photos!

Waking up at 5:30 isn't the best time to wake up to start summer..

We were greeted by Scream Machine when parking this morning! Hoorah Arrow!

The mom showing off some support to the site!

It's Dainan-Kya!

Ah -- the reason why we are there, to ride Kingda Ka over and over for some people who travel around the globe! Or the free breakfast, but in retrospect it was all good

Scream Machine just looks so good in the morning, doesn't it?

Four trains! Hoorah! All ready starting off the summer good.

The POV camera. I love the amount of duct-tape since after all, what would we do without duct-tape?

I felt as if we should be at the Simpsons Ride Media Day, with all these free donuts and Dainan being the donut man!

HEY ACE!

One of the many nice people I met today!

My dad and sister ready to ride in the early morning! Hey; only three more hours till the park opens to the public!

No, not a soccer mom; a coaster mom!

DUMBOOO, NOO!!!

The great staff and crew who made this day amazing!

He is about to get his 100th on eatting break-run fins!

NERD PHOTO!!!!!

Yes -- for the shoot they filled up only the last three rows to ATTEMPT to get the train to rollback on film! But it didn't work, and then a empty train that no one payed attention too DID rollback! You had no idea how puzzled everyone look! Dang Intamin and there non-rolling-backage. (That's for Dan!)

Ohhh ohhh baby; now thats a train!

I'm Kingda Ka, big whoop. Wanna fight about it?

Oh yeah; riding Ka at 8am!

Time for some Ka!

Dan, me, Dad, and sister getting ready for our second lap on Ka!

Moving the POV camera next to me.

Eatting some Ka-donuts on Ka!

They were great donuts -- Angel if you are reading this; what kind where they?!

Dad and lil' sister showing some Ka lovin'.

Anime Style! What is this, Theme Park Review?!

Giving a thumbs up for such a great morning! Thanks again Six Flags and Travel Channel! It was a great day!

NO JOSH!!! DON'T EAT THE OSTR!

Camera crew is working there magic! The hosts were extremely friendly too.

HEY JENN!

I now pronounce ey' the Holy Ka-donut! Angel, seriously, these were goooooooood. ^_^

Angel and my mom chit-chatting!

I can't tell if he is about to sneeze?

Interview times!

Oh wait; Ka has now opened to the public!

That's what she said!

More filmingage (Again -- DAN!)

HEY COASTER-net!

Interview time!

Dainan and I being interviewed.

Ohhhhhhh, spectators.

Such a fun time. Once again. THANK YOU SIX FLAGS! It was great!

Finish off the THEME PARK with some more Arrowness! (Sorry, Dan.)

Discovery Bay was still closed.

The box is talking to me?

Oh, it's just Jesus and Buddy!

I can do that.

Hmm, I'm getting hungry.

Yum -- this food is just as good as Best of the West!

I got a handstamp to get back to the park and I see this? If you know what this is, please tell me! So far I am guessing it is either a form of Texas or Spongebob gone demented.

NOTED!

Representin!

Discovery hasn't changed much since Opening Day.

A sick view of the Wave Pool!

I see Amanda!

Again; thanks so much Six Flags & Travel Channel for the GREAT day! Was truly a fun time, got to meet a lot of people as well as see some very friendly faces! I got on Ka about... truthfully I didn't count, but more then five without even getting off! Hurricane Harbor was fun as well!

What questions did they ask you? Those Kingda Ka shirts look awesome that people have on over there. The one they are selling online doesn't look so good even though I've never been on that ride, and I'm not in a hurry to ride it because Top Thrill Dragster is closer to me.

Thanks for sharing.

They asked A LOT of questions.

Name

Location

How many times you've been on Ka?

Favorite coaster?

Coaster count?

Favorite part of Ka?

Is Ka scaring?

Also Ka in the background broke down during our interview!

Great TR - any idea when it will air? Loved the pics - they were high quality for sure and you could tell you and everyone else had a kick ass time (though I prefer TTD - lol - jp) - thanks for sharing.

This is what kills....they use such a giant rig to mount the camera but they would have been better off just duct taping the the damn thing RIGHT onto the train.

And look where they have it mounted. On top of the fiberglass nose on top of some other rig. That fiberglass piece is decorative and shakes like a Mo-Fo.

I can tell you that I've done two Intamin rocket coasters now and that's not the best place to mount your camera!

So often I try to educate parks that you don't actually *need* all that stuff but they are so used to seeing it used they think that anything else must not be right.

Most of these production companies don't know rides so they employ all these ideas that work great for mounting a camera on a car but it's just not necessary.

*sigh*

Great pictures!

Thanks for sharing.

I got to do one of those shoots for SWAT at AW at 6:00 AM.

Nothing like being in a park at 5:30.

^Unless they cut me out of most of the clips, I should be in the show, haha. I was interviewed with Dainan Rafferty too for the show, and on the RPOV you see me clear as day in the 2nd row. So hopefully, though you never know!

I'll keep you guys updated, right now all I know is between July and August.
