frederic
Hi there ! This is some pictures taken from my last trip to Spain You'll see Hurakan Condor in all its glory It's an Intamin giant drop tower which is 100 metres high this new ride located in the mexican land is really good and well themed Enjoy the pics ! --frederic The nice on-ride picture printed on a tee-shirt Another pic of the tower Yes, the drop is long and you've got plenty of time to scream ! Cars 3 and 4 have stand up floorless seats which tilt (15°) when you reach the top (car 5 have the same seats than 1 and 2 but tilt at the top too) Cars 1 and 2 have standart seats YES, there is a single rider queue line (but NO, there isn't a Universal Pass queue line) - Anyway the single rider line works well The top of the tower - Hurakan Condor is supposed to be a temple The base of the tower Hurakan Condor's entrance View from the China land (yes, this is the land of the B&M Dragon Khan) View from the room of my Salou's hotel
USCoaster
Awesome pics! I still won't get on it, but it looks fun. As far as the on-ride photo on the t-shirt though... The composition of the picture is hilarious. With the 4 riders stretched across the plastic breasts and the tower dropping below... John

Groteslurf
the onride pictures PA sells on HC are the best. You can really see how high HC is. I will be going to PA for 3 days during Halloween and really look forward to try out HC.
bgwfreak
Awesome looking drop tower! How tall is it? I love the theming and those shirts. lol :o 8)
Coasters 4 ever
That thing is huge! Not that I'm going there, but I won't even do ToT at WDW, let alone that! I hate freefalls. Those floorless seats must be the scarier than any roller coaster. How do people even stay in those seats without it hurting them? When the airtime ends... OUCH! I don't even want to think about that.
frederic
I will be going to PA for 3 days during Halloween I hope you'll see the show working ! There are smoke, light effects, sounds, doors opening and closing at the base of the tower-temple... But most of the show wasn't working during my staying Hurakan Condor must look awsome at night How tall is it? Hurakan Condor is a 328 feet (100 metres) high tower How do people even stay in those seats without it hurting them? Compared to the flooreless stand up free fall tower of Movie Park Germany, it's not painful at all (and more scary)... Trust me !! --frederic
PhishyBrewer
With a tower that huge, I rather have an S&S "bounce" when I fall towards the ground. Not an Intamin "slam" to the ground. Nive pics. Thanks for sharing.
bgwfreak
Does it do the tilt at the top like their other tower Acrophobia? They look very similar, although Acro is 100ft shorter.
frederic
Cars #3, #4 (stand up) and #5 (sit down) do the tilt at the top Car #1 and #2 (sit down) don't tilt I don't know Acrophobia Where is it ? --frederic
BiCoastal Kid
^I believe he's referring to Achrophobia @ SFOG, which is a gyro tower...
bgwfreak
Hi again... Acrophobia is at Six Flags over Georgia - Atlanta It's a great drop ride. The tower itself used to be one of those plane rides where you got in a "biplane" like from World War I and it just rotated you up to the top of the tower. They took the plane ride off and put the drop ride on the tower!
coasterdude5
Acrophobia totally owns! I love drop rides and that one looks so cool. (Just look at my avatar!)
Fry
I had the pleasure of riding it 42 times when I stayed there at the start of June and it is incredible. The height is great, it's very scary when you tilt and the drop is indescribgable, it's perfect. Plus there's a beautiful theme to boot so it's all a world class flat. bgwfreak
Now if they only built an interstate highway to Spain. lol I've got some decent footage of Acro in action, but I don't know of a good place to upload videos. Any ideas?
ECZenith
Use www.yousendit.com and drop the link here, Ive always wanted to see Acrophobia in action. I think the best drop tower I've been on was Drop Zone at PKI. I'm trying out PKD's version next month.
BDG
They should take that ugly "block" off the top. The rest looks good... 8)

ECZenith
Sweet, I like how they announce the height as the ride moves up the tower.
bgwfreak
^ It depends on the operator though. By the time we got on they had switched ops and that one didn't do it. I thought it was cool. You are now 100ft, 150ft... and it has a speaker on the very top so basically the riders are the only ones that can hear the op. The one I recorded was like you are dropping in 5,4,3 (and then he'd let them drop). lol
pgathriller
That is so cool! I want to ride it so bad! It is a great thrill ride with great scenery. It's a perfect thrill ride! How much did the ride cost in US money? It looks expensive!
frederic
Now I see what is Acrophobia Thanks for the video ! I've ridden the same model of tower in Warner Bros Movie World Germany It was called The Wild Bunch Hurakan Condor's stand up cars are less painful than The Wild Bunch's ones pgathriller, Hurakan Condor isn't an extra charge ride A one day pass for Port Aventura costs 43.50 USD (36 EUR) --frederic
