jpdupuis Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Hi! I'm back, and this time, prepare to ride something completely different than other any B&M Stats: Highest Point: 86 Meters Inversion: 0 Trains: 6... Colors: Purple-Black-Blue-Red-Gray So...I'M trying to put some screenshots for now...I'll put the POV and the download later...if only I got a page of comments! Thank You for reading! Jpdupuis Airtime!!! How many trains can you count here? Helixx!!!
DBru Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Well, most of the pics look good, and then comes the last one... Stacking much?
schrubber Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 The Helix seems overbanked, -0.8 lateral. Try to reduce the banking, so that the forces go to +-0. Greetings schrubber
DBru Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Yikes! Maybe it's just the angle, but this doesn't look very safe in the back seat... G-spike much?
jpdupuis Posted May 25, 2008 Author Posted May 25, 2008 Hey Hey! ALL G's checked...Maybe a particularity of U-Own... P.s: U-Own is for : Up-Down...lol
Théo the little french Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Two lift hills and two drops? Looks really original!^^
jpdupuis Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 I totally forgot I had put this topic on! here is the download!! X2.nltrack U-Own
sfkk339 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Good coaster! Not as bad as I thought it would be.... The Good: -Nifty Layout -Nice Speed throughout the ride The Bad: -Some horrid transitions here and there.\ -The brakes before the 2nd lift are to hard -The Brakes at the end are way to long and way to many segments... My Verdict, 5/10
DBru Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It was definitely strange...but fun. I enjoyed the layout, the abundant airtime, and the nice pacing. There were some awkward transitions that, somehow, flowed well. (Don't know what to think about those.) There were few force issues, and the supports were good. So overall, nice work! Next time, I'd just focus on smoothing out some of those pumps, and not relying on trims to keep your forces suitable.
jpdupuis Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 My trims are only there to assure that the next train can dispatch. They dont affect at all the speed of the ride!
DBru Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Those short trims shouldn't serve as block brakes, either.
jpdupuis Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 I know...but the ride is pretty long, and i have a lot of trains...so that's the only way I found...
AmyUD06 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I dunno...maybe...not have a lot of trains? Definitely some awkward transitions, and over-supported for a B&M IMHO, but not bad.
