gunslinger Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 For everyone frightened by it [i think it's cute, lol.] Fear not! The project was killed a couple years ago; too expensive. I'm kind of surprised it's taken this long for these vids to make the rounds. But given the time since that was built, I shudder to think of what's to come. Flying spider robots?
rcrider Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Yeah...creepy, noisy, yet surprisingly light on its feet. Will it be going on a killing rampage before, or after, doing a soft shoe number?
GhostRider16 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 That thing is creepy, but kind of cool at the same time. I'm amazed how it was able to stay upright after being kicked and sliding on the ice.
LcHg5265 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I think that most of you will enjoy this. It is a comedy spoof of the Big Dog...called "Big Dog Beta"
TheDumbFairy Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I read this yesterday and had nightmares about it last night.
Kennyweird Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 HOLY CRAP! That thing gives me the creeps. While it would look good as an animatronic, it would probably be used for warfare first.
thrillgeek Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I can see Six Flags using that. Right.............. Pretty cool though.
tkkyj Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Put saddles on about 30 of those and arrange them in a circle for the creepiest carousel ever...
tkkyj Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 ...or put one to use as the ride vehicle in a multi-terrain dark ride...
BuddyChrist Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Sends a real shiver up my spine to see a robot that can take to the terrain without falling over. Though it may have a long list of positive applications, but I get a huge Terminator vibe from watching it.
resident7evil Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 im really scared of things with long skinny legs that walk creepy.. yeah so i think i just died inside
cosmic hearse Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 My reactions were as follows: 1. Amazed and amused 2. I felt bad for it when it got kicked and when it slipped. 3. Scared and freaked out.
doitdumont1128 Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 As creepy as that is, I laughed when he kicked it lol
Sketch105 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I am terrified. If I was ever walking through the woods and saw that thing trotting along, then tried to kick it over and it just regained its balance, I would call authority figures quickly.
