coaster05 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Hey Robb will u be going to any parks in the UK?? possibly Thorpe Park or AT? Thanks We were there less then 2 years ago.
Rideslover Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Sound like a lot of fun to visit in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. I don't know and wait to see it. $3,050 per person for 14 nights hotel lodging, All ground transportation, All Park admissions and lot of more.. $1,000 for the Airlines tickets from SFO to Paris roundtrip for me to fly. $100.00 passport for me. I can't afford for $4,150.00 but I'm sorry Robb. My working is at the Dollar Tree Store in Eureka, CA but paycheck isn't not a very good. I will quit my job very soon and i will find a new hire somewhere. In 1998 i hired to the Paramount's Great America and I been quitted at 1999 because i moved to Eureka for my class at College. I'm live with the seven roommates in our house that I rented it with the 2 and half acres so I keep my tilt-a-whirl there in the yard and other in my shed with full of junk. Well I don't know yet when I can move to Los Angeles soon but I can't keep my tilt-a-whirl and I must sell it. God, I have a lot of stuff like I have the pinball machine, 8 feet pool table, air hockey table, two couch, pepsi fountain machine, stainless refrigerator, one display glass, 200 feet reef tank, one queen bed, gold medal 14oz popcorn machine, 50 inch Panasonic TV and lots of stuff and my broken pickup truck too. I hope the U-haul truck have room for one loading with my stuff into the U-haul truck but yeah I must get rid of old stuff to take a yard sale or take it to salvation army as the freaky thrift store. I will look for my favorite job at the amusement park, I will look around the Los Angeles to find a cheap rent, keep up a hard work and make save up my money for going trip to Europe again next year. My mother is live in Malibu with my sisters and my stepsister. My father is live in Fresno but I already visited my dad on last week ago. I think about i could going to East USA on August 7th to 18th but I don't know yet but my family want me to visit them in Los Angeles for my birthday on August 19th but i already told them. Ni I'm can't but i am going with TPR group in East USA. I think yeah that i miss my birthday but i want to have a lot of fun for the many roller coasters. Ok, thank but I can't go to Europe that price is $3,050 and airlines tickets price is $1,000 and passport too. Well I hope to see you on East Coast USA. Larry
ginzo Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 ^Actually, your $1,000 figure for airfare is a little bit low. It would be more like $1,300 from SFO and that's the very bottom of current fares offered. And you'd need to throw in some extra cash for incidentals (food, drink, souvenirs), bringing the total closer to $5,000. Remember that the dollar is VERY weak against the Euro right now. TPR is probably not going to do this Europe trip again next year, but I believe a really awesome Scandinavia trip is planned. Good luck in getting your finances together for next year. You should consider looking at jobs outside of the amusement industry because you'd likely make more money elsewhere.

Yeah that the USA dollar is very weak against the Euro pound. I heard a lot of news about USA dollars are down and that is very sad. But i love to go trip to Europe maybe in the future. What is that Scandinavia? I don't know but I can look at internet. Ok, I hope to see you at the East Coast trip. Thanks, Larry

The start of the trip report is here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/photo.php?pageid=374&linkid=3344 I don't think it has been publically announced but if you look on the park index page for 'Parc Saint Paul' then you can get those photos from there. hyyyper Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 ^Goudurix is a name or some viking dude that appears in the Asterix and Obelix comic books. So in english it would also be Goudurix
RIP Psyclone Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 ^Ah, thanks so much for that! I looked into it further, and found that the comics translated into English, the character is called Justforkix "Goudurix" translated directly means something like "a taste for risks." How funny is that?
