coasterdude5 Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Update Year 1 - Grand Opening Hola! Estamos abierto! Guests began arriving three hours before the ribbon-cutting ceremony! Passes for the grand opening had been sold out for about a year so we knew it was going to be packed! But I couldn't take photos of the grand opening because I was... well... working. Most of the rides had long lines all day. Mas, pronto!

DBru Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Very, very beautiful... but where is that new coaster?
coasterdude5 Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 ^ It's not Year 2 yet. The announcement was made so guests would know that there is a major coaster coming.
coasterdude5 Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Update Year 1 Hola mis amigos! Como estan? Rio Agua Azul esta muy bonita por la noche... ...y en la manana! Vultura es muy grande! The next update I will cover the nearly-completed mega coaster, MetroAcelerar! Mas, pronto!
DBru Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Still lovin' the park! But will you consider changing the blue on the log flume to a more greenish tent? It just doesn't seem to fit the way it is now...
coasterdude5 Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Update Year 2 Announcement Hola! Here is the "official" Year 2 announcement. (in English) SPAIN - Kindom de España is preparing to open one of the most thrilling attractions in the country. Guests will enter the magnificent train station traveling through a outdoor garden before venturing back into the loading terminal, appropriately themed to a grand train station. The coaches will hold 36 guests and will feature 6 separate cars. The ride will begin by taking riders through the dark tunnels of Spain before launching from 0 - 50 mph in under 4 seconds. The train will then launch into daylight cresting a hill before plunging 125 feet down. Following twists, dips, and turns, guests will experience unique forces as they roar over a 90 degree banked turn, gracing the the entranct plaza. The ride is being constructed by Premier rides. The ride is currently in soft-opening. Season passports for Kingdom de España's second season are currently being sold. Kingdom de España is Spain's premier family theme park adventure, encompassing over 50 acres with numerous family adventure rides, shows, shops, and eateries. The dark-ride portion of MetroAcelerar. The launch tunnel. The train station is worked into the surrounding street buildings. This is a very special shot. It will likely never be taken again! (due to the ride's backstage-like location) Mas, pronto!
the ghost Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 OMG this is pretty damn cool. Why are there people riding in the picture. Is that what you meant by soft opening?
DBru Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 A soft opening is like when a ride runs before its grand opening/media day. Correct?
thrillrideseeker Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I love you park! The new coaster looks amazing! The train station where you coaster starts looks great from what I could see! Keep up the good work!! ~Matthew
coasterdude5 Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 Update Year 2 Hola! That was a short off-season! Not much was completed due to the Year 2 attraction already complete, but some minor changes were made. It's a bit chilly outside still, so the crowds weren't great, as expected. Personas locas! Hay uno persona solamente en MetroAcelerar... Mas, pronto!
knottslover77 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Looks fantastic! Can't wait to see more on the coaster. --Jay
the ghost Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 awesome, any chance when the ride is finished you could post on youtube as this is pretty unique.
coasterdude5 Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Update Year 2 Hola mis amigos! Our second season is well underway, but some small mid-season projects are going on throughout the park. Also, Alcazar will be leaving us after our third season. So you've still got over a year to ride the attraction! A small hill has been formed adjacent to the waterfall by Rio Agua Azul to obstruct guests view of the empty field behind the ride. Rio Aqua Azul's supports have been slightly modified. This year's crowds have been much higher than expected. Mas, pronto!
coasterdude5 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 Update Year 2 Hola mis amigos! Believe it or not, construction for next year's addition is about to begin! It is rumored to be a whole new area of the park! I guess we'll have to wait to see what happens. Mas, pronto!
