Ugh...

While I didn't believe *everything* the boy and his money seeking mother had to say, obviously there is something seriously wrong with Michael Jackson and he should have at least had to pay some fines or community service. We all knew he wouldn't see the inside of a cell, but come on! This really just, ugh, I don't know...are we teaching everyone that if you have enough money and a killer defense team you can get away with let's see: Murder, Molestation, and More!

I think the other thing that annoys me is that people like Martha Stewart do have to actually serve time for what in my eyes is a much less severe crime! (a crime that many men have done and not seen any jail time...but that's another thread!)

All in all, what do you expect from 14 men and women too stupid to get out of jury duty!

On the topic of Michael Jackson, I thought this was kind of funny

http://www.retrojunk.com/media/211/

I used to like Michael Jackson back in the early 90's. Everyone liked "It's Black, It's White". With all that plastic surgery, however, he's gone a bit overboard.

Still, it's probably better to let a guilty man go free than to lock up an innocent person.

she spent time in jail for lying to the grand jury, not the crime she was acused of, she really saved face and just did the time, for lying

Don't understand how he got away with it. It sucks.

Because he didn't do anything. It was a total fabrication, and the jury believed that.

There's no difference between Mike sleeping with kids in his TWO STORY bedroom, and a scoutmaster sleeping in a tent with his scouts. Don't see anyone complaining about that, do we?

he "got away with it" really because the case was weak

even if he was guilty, the case was presented very poorly, and they just didn't have enough evidence, listening to the interviews and stuff, it seems the jury did a pretty good job with what was presented

yeah, I agree with that. I just have major difficulty understanding what kind of people let their kids stay in a grown man's room at his house. It seems a tad strange. Surely they are only asking for trouble?

This case was simply Bad Vs Bad! Wacko jacko is child moleuster and the prosacuters are scam artists.

If thats the case, you still have somone on the streets capable of doing a sick crime. As all others have said, celebrities totally get off on everything, I agree with Elissa in that the plaintiffs totally made up a lot of stuff against him, I'm sure he has done it before, and now he might do it again. O.J., Robert Blake, and Michael Jackson, the only reason Martha didn't get off is because everyone knew she was a b&$#!.

It's so annoying....everyone is talking about the Jackson Verdict....which is fine, but like everyone is saying "he got away with it" or "why did they let him go?", maybe i'm just naive in thinking that if someone is found not guilty it means they haven't done anything wrong, therefore people should be going "Wow, he didn't do it.", because it just bugs me all these prejudice people that don't have any faith in the US Justice System.

Sure in some cases the courts may get it wrong, but in a high profile case, like the Jackson case, there is no room for error. But sure if a 45 year old regular plain joe bloggs was sleeping in the same bed as an 11 year old you'd be a bit suspicious, but Michael Jackson is already weird enough, and acts so much like a child due to his lack or a normal childhood, so I think it's a different matter altogether. Furthermore as Macaulay Culkin said, a kid staying in the same bedroom as Michael Jackson isn't as weird as his room is so huge, it's got two levels, something which most people don't realise.

Kids aren't just staying in his bedroom, they are staying in his bed as well, and just because the Michael Jackson case is a "high profile" case doesn't mean that it is more accurate in a more correct verdict. Actually it may mean the opposite, as in being a celebrity, people or jurors may tend to think about the person being famous and not think about what was said in the case and think oh someone is just trying to get some money. But like Bocakey said what was going through the parents mind letting their kids go to the Neverland Ranch if it was suspected Jackson was a pedophile in the first place! And I would say the more accurate saying would be "Wow, THEY FOUND he didn't do it" as in it was their findings that he was innocent. I can almost assure you if those same people were from here in SC they would find him guilty on all counts !

M J Jackson is just really wierd. He didn't do anything to break the law, he just does the, how do i say it, gayest things I have ever seen. Every time I look at a picture of him I can't help but think, "wow."

O.K. No one will doubt that Michael Jackson is a strange individual, but that does NOT automatically make him a child molester?! He may be an odd-ball character, but that does not mean that he would hurt children.

In a case like this you should have expected that more "victims" would have come forward once the trial was underway........ Lets face it, that did not happen, and Micheal Jackson, would have had access to thousands of children at his Neverland Ranch, but no on else has come forward, that says a lot! Is he an odd-ball unique individual....Yes, a child molester...NO!

You don't see any one complaining because it is not allowed. A scoutmaster or adult is not alllowed to sleep in the same tent as the boys. The only exception is a scoutmaster/adult can sleep in the same tent as his/her son only. BSA policy.

I like Jay Leno's comment "If he was balck the would have convicted him"
