Eric_Smith Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 What is with these things? What are they?
Axman Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 The rows of lines just over the spine look like something to hold onto when the track is being inspected.
jmccalip Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Yeah, if you notice they're only on the steep parts.
kraxleRIDAH Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Those are there to aid in maintenance inspections. The little silver rings are where harness buckles/clamps are latched onto.
Shavethewhales Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I've always wondered how these things get inspected, but what a turd way to do it. I sure wouldn't want to have only those little bars to hold onto 200ft in the air.
TexTitan01 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 yea...they're footings for inspection dudes I think the topic fairies are going to be comin along to get with the shuttin down of this...
Giovanolafan Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 ^ Oooh You just called Wes a Fairy! Yea they have them on titan too! I saw a guy on it when they first opened it!
ebl Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Those help evacuate the train if it vallies. Eric
arrowfanman Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 They're used for maintenance inspections. Maintenance can also use them evacuate guests when the train gets stuck at the block brake, but the front or rear of the train is hanging out of the catwalks. Answered. Thread locked.
Tmcdllr Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 ^How would that work? As was said those are for track inspections/maintenance, they have nothing to do with evacuating a vallied train. I vote to close this topic.
Tmcdllr Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Nevermind. Arrowfanman beat me to it and thanks for explaining the evac part, just hard to imagine them making guests climb those things.
