We are going to Orlando on Tuesday and we like to walk.

I would really appreciate any ideas of walks that offer some views of coasters.

We are staying at The Quality Inn Plaza, near SeaWorld

From your hotel, you might be able to see Kraken at SeaWorld. You won't get good views unless you stop your car along I Drive and take them, but still, not the best of pics.

You really can't see many of the Orlando coasters unless you are in the park of which they operate. You can see the Hulk from outside Universal along Sand Lake Drive, but not that well.

You can see Everest from the AK parking lot and around 192, but just the top of the mountain. Same with Space Mtn, you can see it from the parking lot of the Contemporary Resort.

If you're walking, you're not going to see much.

Sorry to disappoint!

Universal Orlando would probably be best, precisely because the property is relatively small. So all the parks and hotels are connected by winding, well-manicured walkways.

Disney is more spread out, but I don't think you can actually walk from park to park entirely on sidewalks (which is to say, you'd have to walk on the road).

Really nothing much at Seaworld (in terms of walking around, anyway).

But, really, if I haven't made it clear enough already (and as an avid walker myself) I would say that best choice by far is Universal/CityWalk.

Although there are no coaster views- hands down my favorite place to go for a walk when I lived in Orlando was Lake Eola Park and there you can see the band shell that Disney paid for. Go there, sit down, close your eyes, and pretend that you are on Space Mountain.

If someone has something better to put in that blank IM me.

If you take the trolley down to the other end of International Drive from where Sea World is to where the old Skull Kingdom used to be, you can walk over a bridge over the highway and there's a good view of most of IOA and you can see Hulk pretty good from there.

We stayed at a Days Inn on Intl Drive and did this walk every day we went to IOA/Universal.

Not a coaster view per se, but the walk from MGM to EPCOT is very nice. Lots of trees and waterways, and you can see Tower or Terror as well as the countries of Epcot as you approach the park.

I didn't even KNOW Skull Kingdom was "knocked down" til only last week. We happened to be driving by and I told my son to look over the side, he'll see a hautned house...but lo & behold it never materialized! Weird when U expect something to be there & don't see it.

Well walking down I-Drive near Universal Blvd is always a nice little time. Plus you can get some decent picture's of the odd things that have sprun up in that area.

There is Old Town which is nice to browse around, more of if you like old cars and such. On the weekends they have a car cruse night which is always amusing to see.

Universal City Walk are always a great time for a stroll around, plus you can get some good shots of universal at nighttime!

You can also drive down Turkey Lake Rd or Vineland Ave and stop at this one gas station and get some great shots of Dueling Dragons!

Downtown Disney doesn't give much but you can walk all the way down and get some good shots.

There is also the Boredwalk Hotel which you can walkdown which gives a nice view of Epcot at night plus if you come at the right time you can see all the fireworks from Fantasmic also!

If you are on Disney property one night and catch a bus into Ft. Wilderness Resort down by the water (take the bus till you hit the end of the loop, which is the Outpost and Hoop-de-doo Review)you can catch the fireworks and the castle which is one of my personal favorite places to watch them for free!

Seaworld is more tricky but you can walk from your hotel down I-drive to get pictures of Kracken. If you walk down more you can probably see the new Waterpark also from Central Fl Parkway!

From the backside you can walk up Westwood Blvd and up this small backroad that leads into the old Employee Parking lot and see the fireworks!

If you want directions on how to get to any of these places just shoot me a PM and I can give you exact one's right from your hotel!

(Oh the joys of having spent 20 years in Orlando and most of that time working for the theme parks!)

The Boardwalk is definately the best at night. They have a lot of entertainment, and its all lit up and everything. The loop around the lake to the Yaht and Beach club is .8 miles.
