hersheyparkfan3 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 How long did it take all of you to recieve your clue? I replied tonight, and I assumed it would be an automated response. If it was legit. Hershey, wouldn't they make it an auto response? It just seems inefficient for a large corporation.
BBSpeed26 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 The only thing I'm worried about is that the picture in the lower left is CLEARLY modeled in NoLimits, which anyone can do. Granted, Hershey's StormRunner preview animation was pretty much shite, and NL would be a step up, but still, it lends an air of home-made-ness to the photos that is making me have serious doubts about the validity of this for the first time...
anush10 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 It's Obvious! They are going to build the coaster which the 10yo kid won the contest with. Blue Kangaroo!!!

If it was legit. Hershey, wouldn't they make it an auto response? It just seems inefficient for a large corporation. Why would they make an auto-response if each response had a different picture in it?
hersheyparkfan3 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 You could probably create a program that would send out pre-writen responses. That contest sucked... I entered an amazing wood twister, and found out it could only be a steel looping coaster. How did that one win anyway?

To throw us off and make us thing it's an intamin. When it's really Zonga! Anyways this whole thing is pretty cool. Everything is coming together (I guess) just like a movie or something.
natatomic Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 ^^ There's always the chance that they already have their 25 people chosen by the time you e-mailed them. They probably sent the initial message out to more than just 25 in case someone didn't respond or want to participate, and the first people to e-mail them back with their info got picked. I don't think those of us who got the clues were "special," we were just the first 25 to respond.
DenDen Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/hersheypark/2008.php Hmmm, new date?

But remember the first picture they had us unscramble? I'm pretty sure that wasn't made with NL. I'd be very surprised if this wasn't the work of HP.
kdt511 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 ^^ We've known that date for quite a while now.
coasterdude5 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Haha, try to imagine if Cedar Point had pulled this stunt before Maverick... that thread would be 2,000+ posts long...
Coasterlvr_nc Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Wow.... this is all quite interesting to see happen. With the scrambled picture, it looks as though they were all made with NL to me. So I'm thinking that they have made renderings of the ride for promotions/ commercials already.
DenDen Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Haha, try to imagine if Cedar Point had pulled this stunt before Maverick... that thread would be 2,000+ posts long... What would REALLY be funny is if Cedar Point WAS behind all this so that everyone would be terribly disappointed at Hershey. LOL
CoasterEricHP Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I feel like my head is spinning.. oh wait.. thats just the topics in this thread repeating themselves every 5 pages!
Cheesey Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 ^I know what you mean. I keep thinking I am reading the wrong page. Any other pics pop up anywhere yet?
CoasterEricHP Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Doesn't appear so. They must be sending a few out everyday.
kdt511 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Here's another one... http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/4710/hpr4c1nw7.jpg r4c1
coasterdude5 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 ^ Looks like NL to me judging by the background.
CoasterEricHP Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Yeah that is a new piece.. and yeah.. it is kind of looking like no limits.. look at the front of the train in the bottom right.
rgb60 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Dang, kdt, you went and stole the thunder from my very first ever post. That was my piece. But it got posted before I could create my profile. LOL. Oh well, here it is-- does it look familiar? http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/4710/hpr4c1nw7.jpg
kdt511 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Sorry rgb, I didn't think you'd be bringing it over here, so I jumped on the opportunity. Credit to the pic I just posted goes to RGB.
rgb60 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I was just surprised to see my piece here already. For a second I thought donan was sending out duplicates.
mikomeko Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 The top left one looks like the first tower of the ride. Vertical lift on right side and drop on the left. The bottom left looks like a close up of the drop, and it looks a lot more than 90*. The two pictures on the right look to be going through elements. The top right upside down, and very twisted layout in background. The bottom right possibly an overbank or turn. Sorry, I have been following this closely now, and I think its my first post in this thread - just my thoughts in my head now!
coasterfreak101 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I spy an Intamin train and an inversion. Though I'm sure that everyone else saw that too! I think that the words on those two pieces definately have to be rearranged if we can find out what they are. Not too sure just finding the letters is enough for these Nantimi guys.
