SpartanTS Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I plan on going tomorrow since it'll be sunny all day, but it's also a saturday and i'm sure the lines are going to be hell. On Sunday and Monday, it's going to rain. 60% & 40% respectively. Well, if you are me, what do you do? Me and my fiance were planning on using one ticket each day and go a total of two days and try to ride everything, but now that's probably gonna get cut to one day and now I have tickets that I may not be able to use...
hemmy Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Well, I heard once Cedar Point gets their aqua trax built it will be open even in the rain.
coaster05 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 That area of the country can be really weird as far as weather. I have been there when it has rained everywhere except on the peninsula. I would just go both days since you already have tickets. Personally having to spend two days or more in a row at CP would leave me mentally unstable.
spaceace12 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 If you don't use your tickets, I can use them.
saxman47 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'm going monday and tuesday for the first time in my life. I hope the weather holds out
shesaidboom Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 You know guys, a little rain isn't going to kill you. It's not that acidic! Yet. 60% and 40% aren't that big of a deal... especially considering some rides will continue to operate in light rain. Plus, rain will likely keep a lot of the crowds away from the park. Heck, even heavy cloud cover will keep some people away. If you guys come prepared [ie: PONCHOS], chances are even if it rains a lot on one day and only drizzles a bit on the other, you can still likely get the majority of the coasters/flats done. Look on the bright side and stuff. Or give the tickets to spaceace, that's cool too.
spaceace12 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 If he doesn't use them, I would even pay a little for whatever ones he doesn't use. I might be getting free tickets, but not for sure yet.
PKI Jizzman Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 CP's weather changes ALOT! There was a 90% chance of rain and it was a sunny day! You are on a lake, so you have different weather effects. -J "It's kinda cloudly here, now" Z
All Clear Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Let's see, if I chicken out and cancel my trip this weekend, it will guarantee that not a drop will fall...but it's already too late for me to get my deposit back on the room, so...I'm going to go for it, therefore increasing the odds that the whole peninsula will sink, Millennium Force first. PM me if you want to meet up.
dandaman Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 CP's weather changes ALOT! There was a 90% chance of rain and it was a sunny day! You are on a lake, so you have different weather effects. Quoted for truth. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we've gotten bombarded by "partly cloudy" countless times at the Point. Lake Erie weather is fairly unpredictable. ...But either way, the day ends up like this more often than not. ...While other can go from sunny to this in 10 minutes... Some days look like this the whole time...
gldude Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I was at The Point 4th of July weekend 2005 with great weather and crazy crowds...it was hard to walk down Top Thrill Midway, but surprisingly the line for Top Thrill and Mellenium Force were under an hour. so dont worry about crowds.
