RollerC
So I was wondering, how do riders get off of the lift hill in case of an E Stop or other emergency? Unlike B&M Inverts, SLC's don't have the extended catwalk under the train: B&M Invert: SLC: I hope you understand what i'm asking.
Homer
Actually, I think a platform from the station comes out and climbs up the lift. But its a tiny platform that only one row can evacuate on. I think evacuating on an SLC would be scarier than the pain itself!
mike541x
The Mind Eraser at SFA has a cherry picker kinda like vehichle under the lift. I always thought that it was used for an E-Stop.
thomas2
Here's a photo of the little evacuation platform on SLC's
nemesis-storm
I think I'm right in saying here that B&M flyers have the same type of thing, where by a small platform is used in the case of a e-stop.
odene497
That's really interesting. I always kind of thought that an E stop wasn't an option. You would just sit and wait it out. Getting off on a little platform would be scary. 300th post! -Nick
Cyber.Fiber
I would rather sit there. Although... it's a credit itself
bgwfreak
The 3 SLCs I've been on, all did not have a floor beneath them like B&M does. Just open space below you, and it's scary! This also reminds me of a question I had on Griffon. What are these box things sitting on the lift? Are they a temporary floor they can put together to evac it? Virdu_
I saw one time the SLC "Tizona" located in Terra Mítica that it made a E-Stop. Nobody did nothing, the operator of the ride push some buttons and the lift chain came back to the station transporting the train. I think that is the reason because SLCs don't have a evacuate plattform, but I don't know it exactly.

What will they do for example if the chain breaks or doesn't operate correctly

I think its an elevator that brings a mechanic up the lift and brings passengers down(I think I saw it in a Sherika video on youtube.)
steel
^Yes, those things are used for evacuation. The catwalks are too steep and they don't want people to trip. I can't find any pictures, but I know I've seen some.
