Eric_Smith Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I know how Robb hates us hotlinking but you need to see this..... www.angelfire.com/oh4/tk173/modelsraptor.html Coolest thing I have seen.
CoasterNut17 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 ^I've seen this before on another site. It is VERY awesome! Just imagine how much money it would cost, because each little set costs like $300! I will get the credit in summer. Wish I had one!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I thought he was sponsored by Coaster Dynamix to make the model... Anyway I've seen this thing like gazillion times.
texashorns82492 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 The only thing I don't like about coaster dynamix is how unrealistically fast they go. The perfect rollercoaster model also needs to be bigger.
Ccron10 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 The model kind of looks like it's 3 ft tall from looking at the pic of the kid next to it. That kind of gives me an idea of what the height of my model will look like. I might've seen this before.
Calaway Park Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 The only thing I don't like about coaster dynamix is how unrealistically fast they go. The perfect rollercoaster model also needs to be bigger. It's nearly scale now, and they go as fast as the real ride, they're scale models, so they'll appear to go faster, but in reality they're going close to the same speed.

The perfect rollercoaster model also needs to be bigger. They don't go unrealistically fast, they go the appropriate scale speed, 1/48 of its full size counterpart, the only thing that isn't scale about these is the weight of the trains, track & supports.

That kind of gives me an idea of what the height of my model will look like. I might've seen this before. Well, just so you know, the only way make a model that goes the same speed relative to the layout would be to either make the model JUST AS BIG as the real thing, or control it's movement.

texashorns82492 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Fanboy, you do realize coaster dynamix run comletely on magnetics. Or atleast they used to.
Jew Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 ^Dude, they're like $400 a piece. And... thats a problem why? ~Matthew *Is still getting the sets* Stout You do realize it is going to take lots of time, effort, patients, and space to build a model on that scale right?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Fanboy, you do realize coaster dynamix run comletely on magnetics. Or atleast they used to. They don't run on Magnetics they run on Kinetics, the only part where they have any outside assistance on is the lift.
thrillrideseeker Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 You do realize it is going to take lots of time, effort, patients, and space to build a model on that scale right? Yes... I know. So I might not build it as large but I am still going to build it ~Matthew *Still has not changed his mind* Stout
larrygator Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 ^Dude, they're like $400 a piece. And... thats a problem why? ~Matthew *Is still getting the sets* Stout Because you might not be able to afford bread and milk in Florida!
