WillMontu
I got a chance to go down to Orlando again yesterday, hitting SeaWorld and Magic Kingdom Some brief updates SeaWorld -The waterpark is coming along nicely. I got some pictures from the road -It was windy, so the SkyTower was closed -Both Kraken and Atlantis were running with relatively short waits. Kraken was a walk-on, with a 10 minute wait for the front -Wild Arctic makes me glad that they don't make simulators anymore Magic Kingdom -Space Mountain was closed most of the time, though we got FastPasses and rode later in the evening. They were only running one side -I finally got on the Astro Orbiter -I got to do MILF. Erik said that it had improved since the preview. Much like the other Tomorrowland attractions, they recycled the old queue and show building from Timekeeper I have not posted everything yet. The uploads are very slow at the moment I'm having some trouble with uploading at the moment (taking much longer than usual), so I will post the rest over the next day or so. You can get a feel for the size of these horses They had the Clydesdales out Penguins on trampolines! They Odyssea show "You fight like a dairy farmer!" "How appropriate, you fight like a cow!" They had a little bit of a blooper with the sound system, but they did a great job at continuing the show What kind of buffet is this anyway? Where's the gravy? Maybe you should roll up your sleeve The show includes references to Titanic (the movie), and even GEICO commercials Hey Ryan, how's it going? The mime act is a "pre-show" to the Clyde and Seymore show Some aerial shots of the waterpark would be nice, but it was quite windy Penguins and coasters, what a mix! Atlantis was about a 5 minute wait. I didn't get very wet on it (therefore not an acceptable amount of wetness) Erik gets eaten by Kraken Kraken's eggs. I wonder what they hatch into...Dragon Wagons? Vertical loop goodness! Some coaster porn for those who enjoy it! And now I bring you this super exclusive shot of the back of Kraken's train As always, Kraken was a walk-on Crowds were moderate SeaWorld also has the new biometric turnstiles Lots of slides The waterpark is coming along nicely Magic Kingdom pictures are on the way Cookies? Where are the cookies? Anyone else upset that Cookie Monster has started dieting? How PC can you get? C is for Cookie...and that's good enough for me! E is for Erik! The old water-ski stadium has been converted for use as a Sesame Street show ...very quickly! ...the line fills up... ...because... We left just before the ending to hit Wild Arctic... The large LED screens can move and rotate I don't remember seeing coasters in the previous shows either The Shamu show has changed since I last saw it Go Gators! Homer
Butt... Great TR of Sea World, Will! I *REALLY* have been meaning to go back to that place since I have not been there in nearly 10 years!
alpengeist04
Thanks, for the PTR. ...and it's nice to see the short line for Kraken. Hopefully, it'll be that short when I ride in 12 days.
cfc
I liked Wild Arctic, myself--one of the better simulators. Did it make you a bit ill, Will? (So you bear it "ill will"?)
Erik Johnson
I liked Wild Arctic, myself--one of the better simulators. Did it make you a bit ill, Will? (So you bear it "ill will"?) LOL. Yeah we did not feel very well after riding it. The ride really slams you around in your seats. You also receive some nasty, slamming airtime on it as well. Though Corkscrew Hill, at the park near your home, makes Wild Arctic look like Small World.
cfc
^Corkscrew really pushes it for me, too--always have to grab a Sierra Mist after riding that bad boy to settle my stomach.
BarryH
Great PTR! You made a joke about the butt, but not the donkey? How was the Sesame Street show? I'll have to check it out the next time I'm at Sea World.
redfoot12
Oooo--I loved me some Kraken! Still the last coaster I rode. I guess I need to get hopping on some 2007 coaster riding! Corkscrew Hill < Questor
palavos3
In my opinion I don't think the Busch Gardens parks or Sea World need any more coasters. I like the rides that they have but if they continue to build more it would not be fair to the animals. The more stuff you have in these parks the more noise the animals have to hear day in and day out. I just don't think it's just for them.
WillMontu
Magic Kingdom To compete with the TGV's, Disney cranked up the speed of their monorail Night shot of the entrance 10pm and the Main Street is packed It's difficult to get a good shot of Tinkerbell zipping down from the castle Astro Orbiter all lit up I didn't intend for this picture to come out like this, but I like the way it did come out In reality, they were only running the Alpha side, and they were loading FastPass people before everyone else As you can see, there are a lot of people in the queue Space Mountain re-opened, with a 120 minute wait. Good thing we had FastPasses The teacups all lit up Here's one for the Vekoma brake cylinder enthusiasts out there Time for the Vekoma Skater (and Soren's first USA credit!) Cool motion blur shot from the train The train Of course, the Water Jets of Doom were turned off and we didn't get very wet So we head over to Dan's favorite ride We barely missed getting on the Liberty Belle The Hall of Presidents. Both Dubya and Lincoln make speeches. Bill Clinton loves sax [insert Bill Clinton joke here] "Old man Stauf built a house and filled it with his toys. Six Guests were invited one night, their screams the only noise. Blood in the Library, blood right up the hall, dripping down the attic stairs...", If you recognize this quote, E-mail Dan! And the Peoplemover breaks down too. There didn't appear to be many people stranded on it though Still no life from Space Mountain The queue is familiar to anyone who's seen Timekeeper The "Comedy Club" wording is still present throughout the attraction As you can see, it's done wonders to the attendance levels MILF is the new attraction this year Astro Orbiters is a very low capacity ride This doesn't look good Space Mountain was broken down The Peoplemover is a favorite among repeat visitors, so why did Disneyland butcher theirs? The only picture I have of the castle The Vengabus is coming And everybody's jumping New York to San Fransisco An intercity disco The wheels of steel are turning And traffic lights are burning So if you like to party Get on and move your body There's not much left of the North Wing of the Contemporary Resort

crazydaveh
I hope you went to the beer house at SeaWorld. It's the best part of the park because it can help seem like Shamu jumps a lot higher!

coastercrazed49
Great Trip Report. Wow it seemed like you never had to wait in one long line at MK, or SW. Is Kraken still smooth or is it starting to get rough?
jamesdillaman
Got MILF? Disney does. Love the pics. I've got to get back there sometime. Can't convince the fiance to have a disney wedding, or even a disney honeymoon (she wants Hawaii, guess I can't argue). Loved the night pics. -James Dillaman

I love the pic of the donkey w/the pile of poop in the foreground. The penguin statues at Sea World are cute.

I went to Sea World once shortly after I moved here and haven't been back since. But....Mike and I are going on Saturday with our friend Julie (who works there). Yay!
