I've seperated TPR announcements (DVD releases, trip stuff), Official TPR updates (Videos and Photo TR's) and Forum updates, user submmited stuff, etc.

Let me know if you guys like it or not.

The goal here is to find a way to keep the "Official TPR Updates" on top since we only do those every couple of weeks.

I like all the comments, but suggestions would also help.

Another "minor" change. I removed the dates off the "official TPR stuff" so they don't get confused with the forum or more general updates. Is that better? Or should I keep the dates?

^^ If that's the goal, then it makes sense. I cant think of any better way to do it. Thanks for explaining. Vote changed.

EDIT: I'm stupid. How do you exactly change your vote?

I like how it was before. Right now I dont like

"OFFICIAL THEME PARK REVIEW STUFF" Stuff...myeh...I don't like that word used in there.

"PARK NEWS, FORUM UPDATES AND OTHER COOLNESS" Again, I dont really like the use of 'other coolness'

But I still like TPR the same

Good thought, but that is just my opinion.

^ Yup! And that EXACTLY will actually be part of a more "major" overhaul of the front page! (someday.....when I have more time)

But at the moment, I just wanted to make a "minor" change.

The challenge with doing the two columns like that is that we have far fewer "TPR Updates" than we do "forum updates" so one column will be MUCH longer than the other, and that could also look weird.

^That sounds like the best option.

Meh, well to some degree, that type of talk keeps this site less serious and more enjoyable than other, more rigid sites. I don't mind it at all. I see it as creative and fun rather than trashy or unprofessional.

^ Yeah, I split the difference with Elissa...she liked the more "straightforward" approach so I used "Updates" for the TPR ones and "Cool Stuff" for the forum section. I technically got to keep both of my words!

^I love that!

I have to agree to some extent aswell, this is a more loose website, and now that I think about it...Cool stuff does fit well with this site. Yay for Minor Updates!

Well that shouldn't really affect much.

You'll have so many updates that you'd have to scroll down a few pages to get to the part where the one collumn is longer.

Or you can set a static amount of updates shown, and then have a "older updates" link to show the rest of them.

You could just set that column's height and use overflow:auto to allow for scrolling. That way they'd stay the same height, no matter what. Then again, if you are allergic to setting heights you could resort to smaller fonts and space for updates, as well as deleting them off the home page quicker.

Also, I know a lot of you who have commented come to the site every day, so in some ways the change doesn't affect you because you'll see all the most recent updates anyway.

Think about it from the point of view of someone who visits the site once a week or once a month.....
