Skramp
I know Robb hates it when we post links to other sites, but this is great. Looks like one of Robb's videos, but can pretty much guess it was done by KI as there is no "crowd noise" anywhere in the vid. Bring sback memories, especially the double nut busters at the end. Any guy that rode this knows exactly how that seat jammed you on those last two hills. http://www.kicentral.com/history/videos/kingcobra.php
Billy
three cheers for no lift hill footage!
ginzo
Thanks for bringing back some memories. I actually liked the King Cobra. I prefer smaller rides for stand up coasters. The big B&Ms like Riddler's and Chang are too much. Then again, it's been many years since I rode the King Cobra.
scruffy
I have the hole POV King Cobra video. As soon as my new video card comes I will upload it to this site.
jamesdillaman
Also liked King Cobra... Something in the video looked odd to me, though. Can't put a finger on it.... Oh yeah, there's TREES in the park!! WTF? -James Dillaman
PhishyBrewer
One of my favorite Togo Death Machines. RIP my friend.
Masked_Maverick
three cheers for no lift hill footage! aww and I'm starting to become a bit of a lift hill enthusiast too. the video itself wasn't bad I just don't like how it switched to a a view of the park going through the loop and not stayed on the ride itself. Also a lift hill pov would of been nice too.
RCoasterny
That's odd. The layout is the exact same as Canada Wonderland's SkyRider.
PhishyBrewer
^It's really not odd. Togo made tons of these. Just how Vekoma has tons of those damn SLC and Boomerang coasters.
viking86
^It's really not odd. Togo made tons of these. Just how Vekoma has tons of those damn SLC and Boomerang coasters. Hehe TOGO has actually only made 8 stand-up coasters, and SkyRider is the only coaster that is excactly identical to King Cobra. There are two others similar coasters, but not identical. Heres the complete list http://www.rcdb.com/installationresult.htm?column=1,10,3,4,5&order=1,2&model=
bgwfreak
Nice find! For some reason the video makes the ride look longer than the KD version, even though it was shorter. Weird.
Scaparri
Yeah, I really miss King Cobra sometimes. I love Delirium and all, but KC was always a staple at KI. I was happy they tore it out because it was such a capacity nightmare. The belts and procedures for that ride took forever, but it was still a fun ride. Those little bunny hops at the end were super intense.
verticalzero
I rode it in 2000, gave a good ride apart from the old style OHR. Is this the only "stand-up" to have bunny hops.

Also the video has no sound its the best I can do from a very old video tape.
DarkMeasures
I remember going on that ride back in 1998. I found it OK back then. My only problem was actually the trains as your head was on metal (I was a little kid in 1998) and the loading took forever. The ride would have been excellent if they could have convinced B&M to make the ride new trains or something. But I do believe that is the only Togo death machine I have ever ridden in my life.
