coasterdude5 Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 Since the construction of the coaster, I have added trims after the first drop, so while it won't be included in the download, rest assured the ride is not too intense.
asr Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Wait. The trim brakes won't be in the download, or the coaster won't be in the download? Â Anyway, it looks crazy. Normal drops are cool on stand ups, so a vertical drop like that must be simply insane.
coasterdude5 Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 ^ The coaster will be in the download, just the trim breaks at the bottom of the hill will not.
??? Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 So this is how the last year of Hawaiian Escape goes,WITH A COASTER THAT NOTHING CAN STAND ( ) AGAINST!
asr Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Awesome! Could you make a POV? Â You have RCT3 right? If so, the download is coming in 2 or 3 days anyway.
coasterdude5 Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 PEREGRINE CHANGES  The following changes have been made to Peregrine: - Drop shortened from 240 feet to 210 feet - Trains changed from stand-up to regular sit-down  The update that will be posted tomorrow will show Peregrine in it's old form. The download will feature the ride in its new form. Â
asr Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Neutered before even opening, just like Maverick... Â Anyway, I think this is a good idea. Peregrine was a little too big, and despite the Stand-Up trains probably providing an amazing ride expierence, it doesn't strike me as something B&M would actually do, espiecally with all those crazy inversions (not to mention a Cobra Roll, an element B&M does not allow on their stand ups). Actually, even a normal DM car would probably have some trouble negotiating those elements.
kraken613 Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I still dont like what it looks like. When i download that rides the first thing to change!
coastercrazed49 Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 That looks so perfect. I deffinetly like it more then sulfer it looks great!
coasterdude5 Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 Update Year 30  *The changes made to the coaster will not be shown in this update.  First dive machine to feature a cobra roll.  Kinda one of those weird ones like on Hydra at Dorney Park.  I wish that drop would've been vertical.  All sky.  Peregrine is great. Get out and ride it if you have the chance.  I call this the long cobra roll.  See, it's stretched out.  Overview  Final Update is Friday.
coasterdude5 Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 Update Year 30  TRAGEDY AT HERSHEY'S HAWAIIAN ESCAPE  Tragedy struck Tigre today.  From initial reports, a full train launched...  ...and metal apparently "exploded" from under the track.  Nearly everyone in the train were injured, four critically.  The next day a statement was released by Hershey: "We regret that this terrible incident has happened. Our prayers are with the victims and their families.  After a 72 hour investigation, the cause of the accident has been put on Intamin, the ride's manufacturer.  We have decided to dismantle the ride, and send it off for further investigation and testing.  This is a hard time for all of us, we hope all of the victims make a full recovery."  I never thought a ride would go like this...  It's been the flagship attraction for so long.  Station deconstruction  What a way to end the year... Final update is next.
Myself Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I assume this means no Tigre in the download. Poor people, I hope they're all right.
CCJared Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I Think Intamin puller another Maverick, bloody Train Stress!
coasterdude5 Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 ^ Correct  ^^^ No, Tigre is long gone and will not be posted in the download.  THE DOWNLOAD WILL BE POSTED TONIGHT Eastern - 1:00 a.m. Central - 12:00 a.m. Mountain - 11:00 p.m. Pacific - 10:00 p.m.
asr Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 It certainly sounds like it it is going to be re-installed from the press release. What are the changes that it will return when the park comes back this summer?
coasterdude5 Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 ^ It's gone, I promise. It's not coming back. Too many people hated it and said it ruined the entrance plaza.
Twister II Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 ^ It's gone, I promise. It's not coming back. Too many people hated it and said it ruined the entrance plaza. At least we aren't bitching like people at the Atari Forums about your dive coaster. Haha!
coasterdude5 Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 ^ Yeah, TPR is too cool for that kind of crap, haha.  Final Update Year 30  Download: www.coaster101.com/download.htm  Scenery Packs Required: Alpine Sets 1, 2, and 3 Mainstreet Sets 1 and 3 Vermont Set DRP's Ambience set Expo 3000 Set Pumper's Steelworx  Well, it's been 30 years since I took my first step onto the property.  Year 1 The park started out as a test project, and continued to grow.  Year 5 The park was bought out by Hershey, and the growth officially began.  Year 7 Tigre got the park into the thrill-world  Year 9 Sulfur and Turbulence were also crammed into the lineup, making the park a top dog.  Year 18 The park continued to expand with the additions of Tantalus and Oronga.  Year 18 More rides continued to flow in.  Year 22 The Volcanic was a major additon to the resort.  Year 23 The park became crowded, and though we lost several star attractions, the park has kept a stellar line-up of thrill rides.  But it's time for me to move on, I'm moving back to California. I might be back, I might not. I'm sure Hawaiian Escape will do fine without me, haha. I appreciate you viewing this park grow and progress over this 30-year period that seems to have flown by.  Thanks again, Your fellow Hawaiian Escape fan
