I have been to Cedar Point once a year for like ten years but I have not been on Disaster Transport for like four years. Has it changed at all, I saw that you can were special glasses on the ride (from Cedar Points getaway guide, there was a picture)

Thanks

They sell prismatic glasses for like $1 a pair, but they are pretty worthless.

Changes:

- Less effects work

- There is no storyline

- The queue has shrunk (they do a spookhouse in some of it)

- It is much more disco

It is pretty ghetto these days. Reminds me of a roller skating rink from the early 80's.

^ They sure did. It was something like this:

- There was a company called "Dispatch Master Transport"

- You were touring the facilities and a robot greeted you and gave you a speil

- The robot was a working animatronic and looked a little like the Alien Encounter (WDW) figure

- You toured two seperate themed queues (forgot the first and then the workshop)

- You were to board a vessel on it's way to Canada (smuggling coke or something)

- Somewhere along the way, everything went wrong until you eventually "crashed" at the end

I will have to see how different the ride is.

BTW- Does Cedar Point have strict video taping policies. This is the first year with MY OWN video camera(it is digital and has steady shot). I had digital camera but I was way to shaky to see anything.

Last time I checked Alaska wasn't part of Canada.

benzo41190: Very strict camera policy. You can't film on any ride. Well almost none. You can on the train ride, sky ride, etc. But not on any thrill ride/coaster.

I was on DT once, and that was enough. No matter how much theming they put into that thing, it doesn't change the fact that the coaster itself is too short of a ride. they should have just built a new coaster indoors, but I guess that would have cost too much for them.

They tried to hard to make it like "Star Tours" I'll liked the old bobsled

^ Actually DT closes in the rain just like any bobsled.

The reason is that when it rains the water goes through vents in the ceiling and falls onto the track.

It was open during the rain when we were there last in October, TTD and Raptor were closed due to winds and MF was closed due to rain .. DT was open and had a rather long line.

That's it!

I've just taken 4 credits off of your list for being annoying!
