Launch day is near! PS3/Wii-kend Launches.

The Wal Mart I was at today had PS3 games in the shelves. I was quite suprised.

Yeah, I put our PS3 games out 2 days ago, nobody is going to buy them anyway, since everyone is going to sell thier 3s.

 

 

I'm not gonna put out the Wii stuff untill Sat. the games have to share the case with the GC games and there's no room for them, so I am waiting till the last minute.

I just worked this morning at Target. Im from the electronics. We had 12 and it went very smooth!

We had a few people camping out at our Target. According to the AP people, they had been out the night before as well. Over at Best Buy the situation was similar, only the line was longer and the people had tents. I'll probably pass on the PS3 ($600 could buy you a decent gaming PC). Maybe the Wii or the 360, but I'll wait for the prices to drop a bit first and my finances to stabilize.

I'm disgusted at what has been going on today. Multiple robberies, shootings, riots etc. over a video game system! It has brought out the worst in some people and I am just as angry at Sony for releasing so few systems which is part of the cause.

Wow, the PS3 launch is exactly what I predicted, total chaos.

 

I already hear of riots in Nevada and Wisconsin and shootings over the PS3. And Kaz Hirai (aka "Riiidge Racer") is on G4, and he's kinda arrogant...

 

G4: What about the safety for the gamers, and the frustration of them not having your console? Couldn't you have waited until you had enough units ready to make everyone happy?

Kaz: We wanted it out by Christmas

G4: Oh, well what about the safety of your gamers?

Kaz: Well, at the Sony store we handed out coffee. And some places handed out wristbands.

 

1. I would have done something closer to Christmas, not before Black Friday.

2. Safety? You didn't consider some of the aftermath of launch if people are going to go mad and cause some of this mayhem. And like wristbands are really necessary for safety .

I just woke up after sleeping all day from pulling an all nighter camping out at WalMart...stupid WalMart only had 4 PS3's...4!!!!!!

And then the bright idea was to open the door that said EXIT after everyone was waiting at the Entrance!

What the hell!

Oh well, I just went along for the ride with my buddy who is obsessed with Playstation

lol...the one anchor on fox35 Orlando tonight called people waiting and fighting for PS3's "Absolutely Pathetic!" and several times said... "I'ts just a game people..."
