I usually don't plan on watching a particular program on the History channed, but inevitably I turn it on and it becomes the only channel on the television for the evening.

Lets hear it for educational programming for adults!!

^ That happens all the time, especially when they do their "mini marathons" like 3 modern marvels back to back all linked by some common thread, or 3 Infamous Murders, or one of my personal favorites: Perfect Crimes?

What? The hot red head is married? To who? I love MythBusters but I can't think of her name!

My favorite show on the History Channel is Modern Marvels.

See I thought I read they were siblings....or I was hoping.

Hey, any channel that helped me pass high school and is helping me get my Engineering Degree is a great channel. In my high school history class, I went from D+ to A- in a quarter. Yea History/Discovery/Travel/Food/Health Channel

I like the History Channel...thought I was the only one too.

My history teacher says every day, "Did you see the special about the War of 1812 last night?" Or something like that.

I watch more programming on Discovery than any other one channel. Mike Rowe is my homeboy! History channel comes in a close second. Comedy is third.

I'm so interested in History...I'm pretty sure I'm majoring in it.

p.s. I saw "Modern Mavels: Sex Technology" the other day! It was like watching the worlds I know...and the worlds I don't know, collide!

I watch the history channel every once in a while, sometimes there are really some interesting things on it. You would be very surprised on some of the things you can learn while watching it. I’ve even learned some things that I didn’t know about until I saw it on the show!

I watch History Channel fairly often, especially Modern Marvels. The quality of programming on Discovery and Travel has gone a little downhill over the last few years (notably the Poker shows), though I do enjoy MythBusters.

I like the Discovery Channel much better. I love the Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs shows. However I'm not a big fan of the History Channel. I like the Band of Brothers show and Modern Marvels depending on what they are talking about but usually its just stuff about the world freezing over and all that crap.

I like the History Channel (my mom is obsessed with it) but I prefer the Discovery Channel because of all of the architectual shows. My favorite show on the History Channel is Modern Marvels; the last episode I watched was about the creation and engineering of the Disney Parks. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I watch the History Channel as well as Discovery channel all the time. I've always had an interest in history. I like that Modern Marvels has a way of taking obscure things and making them interesting for me, and I also like watching the war shows.

I also enjoyed The Dark Ages show a lot. I never really had any interest in that time period but after watching, it caught my attention. So yeah, while my friends are out doing drugs..... I'm watching the History Channel.

Im more of a Travel Channel guy.Only because Samantha Brown is possibly the funniest woman ever She is awesome

My husband calls me a dork, but he's the one with the crush on Samantha Brown! He thinks she'd be the best girl to date/marry since you could go to all those amazing places with her for free and stay in sweet hotels!

I prefer the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, History Channel and Animal Planet over most other channels. I really like Survivorman, History's Mysteries, and How It's Made. John Ratzenberger and Samantha Brown should do a show together!

I'm growing tired of the History.. mhm... Hitler... channel. At least 98% of the channel is WWII stuff. Don't take it wrong! I absolutely love history (my dad is a US History professor at UT Austin and has written 20 books on topics from Jackson to Teddy Roosevelt, to Wilson, to the masters of enterprise, etc.) but I wish they would focus more on other eras as well.
