Hy everyone, this year I've celebrated my birthday at Mirabilandia.

I celebrated the first of October and at the park it was a nice sunny and warm day. It was almost like summer!

I left Milan at 6:30 am to arrive at Mirabilandia at around 10:00 am in time to meet with my friends. We were all from the community of www.theparks.it so it was more like a meeting than a birthday party.

As we entered the park we had this nice view of Ktun's big cobra-roll and we found out that Katapult was not open today .

The first ride of the day was the Power Tower named after the Shuttle Columbia. I felt some nice airtime at the top but only after the first launch!

After that we went straight for Katun where we rode it in the very back to fully enjoy one of the best drop ever!

While my friends were riding Ghostville, I rode Katun again, this time in second row.

Now it was time for Sierra Tonante where I got the front seat. It was very rough but always better than a Vekoma!!!

Find the hidden train to win a free ride on Sierra Tonante!!!

Airtime? Not at all!!!

After Sierra we went to ride the other tower: the one named after the Shuttle Discovery. Then it was lunch time! After lunch we rode Rio Bravo: the water ride with the round boats and after that Katun twice!

Now it was already time for another bone-braking ride on the no-airtime woody. This time I brought my camera on and I had this nice shot of random girl's hair with Katun in the background.

After that I decided to ride Ghostville: the dark ride with live actors and a really nice theming. I hate so much being scared by live actors!

Time was running very fast and it was already 5:00 pm so we decided to spend the last hour in the park riding Katun.

Here's me with the Katun sign!

The best part of the day was the last ride on Katun. We were very lucky and we got the front seat!!!

GOODBYE KATUN!!!

I want to thank everybody who made my birthday so SPECIAL and I want to say HI to the english guys on Katun hoping they see this topic. How many times exactly did you ride Katun???

Lmao

Happy belated birthday!

quick question: is Mirabilandia close to Bergamo???

That Cobb woodie looks like it could be so good. But it looks like it hasn't been properly maintained at all. What do you think of the layout? I think if the park would maintain that ride and lose the Morgan trains, that ride could be a true winner.

EDIT: Just checked RCDB, and it turns out that the woodie has trains built by S.D.C. (builder of the Galaxi coasters) WTF?

I love the layout even if it has no airtime. The drop doesn't give any feeling at all. It has four hills that make you think about airtime but once you get to the top you already forgot about it. In the last part under the structure there are some nice head-choppers.

The problem of Sierra Tonante is that it has not enough speed. If it was a little bit faster and with some crazy airtime on every hill it would be just awesome.

I think it's time for some new rails and a new paintjob.

Thanks for the PTR of this somewhat out of the way park. Oh, and happy birthday!

One question: is Miribilandia easy to get to with public transportation from Venice?

Posted

On Katun there are two separated queues: one for the front seats only and one for the rest of the train. They alway use one or two trains so the front seat quere is VERY slow but the experience is worth that wait but only once!

It's pretty complicated to get to the park with public transportation. I know that there's a bus that connects the park with Bologna and if you take the train for Naples that leaves Milan at 5:30 am you can get to the park in time. You can get to Milan with the train.

Nice TR!, and Happy (already passed) Birthday! Its a shame Katapult was down, it looks like a fun Schwarzkopf. I might be in Italy next year for a vacation so hopefully i will get to Mirabilandia and ride Katapult and Katun to.

I rode Katapult in July and it was pretty fun. It takes forever to load the guests and the restrain system is complicated: lapbar, o.t.s.r. and a seat belt. Also it didn't have any loop backward just two loops forward.

B&M train in storage: only two trains running during the whole day.

Through the trees! I love the pre-drop!

Nice pictures! Did you notice any difference between the trains? When I was there last year, train number 3 was very smooth while train number 2 was vibrating quite alot and had actually had a little headbanging in the outer seats. Train number 1 didnt run that day.
