Erik Johnson Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I went back down to Universal/IOA with Will so I could add another HHN construction update. As always I let the pictures tell the story: They are going to have another Beer event in Nov. I can't wait! All the way up to HHN 16. Maybe you can figure out this one on your own. HHN III They have these cool banners the all 16 HHN posters. This is HHN I The top area of the stage. Storyteller's area. Director's area. There is section on the stage for all the famous HHN characters. Here is Jack's Here is one a bit closer. Here is the main stage, which is highly detailed. Same with this demon who just escaped from Hell. Pumpkin head looks pretty scary. What happened to Animal Planet? Is this a sign of what is about to come? As well of me inside the store. This may be the last shot of me in front of the car. While everything else was a walk on, Back to the Future had a 35min wait. So we skipped it. Will wanted to see the full queue, since it was only a 5 minute wait. Make sure you do not miss this if you go to HHN. Oh, I can not wait to see the greatest theme park show again. Pallets of Doom on a stage. This area is going to be pretty scary in less than a week. Is it the zombie bus of pure evil?? Do not stick your hand in here. More pallets of doom. Ok onto a bunch of HHN construction. Earl has left Universal. Looks more like game booths and food. Over to Universal, no rodent themed mazed this year... September rocks for Florida parks! Did Ryan receive his turtle yet? Scary HHN advertisment in Seuss Landing. With all the referb work to Seuss Landing, they finally removed the Grinch ice slide. This was the first time Will has ridden it. Actually this ride is fun, just make sure you pay attention to the song. They only needed a single ride op/restraint checker today. Looks like these will be the main dishes for October. As always, here is the current Mythos menu again. Notice that desserts have been taken off again. I guess they added 2006. Theme Park Insider must not be Tomato and Chesse salad fans. We had our own TPR Ice train today! Thanks awesome coaster crew! Dueling Dragons had an awsome coaster crew today. They had a boat just reserved for TPR members. We were the first to ride Jurassic Park. Yes, its credit #128. But you do get a nice view of the area. Wow, 80 seconds of pure fun! I really thought this one was better than either the Hulk or DD. Will looked really excited. I still did not have the credit yet. They let anyone ride it early in the morning. This is the real reason why we got here so early. They open the rest of the park at 9. We entered this at 8:52, and exited right at 9:00. They actually open IOA before 9 AM. Both the Hulk and Spiderman were open at 8:45 (or earlier). While I usually wake up earlier than this for work, this is early for heading out for a park.
Frade Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hey Erik, my two best friends that work at Dragins told me they saw you and Zach talked to you, that is cool, well see you soon.
niiicolaaah Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Erik!!!! You have exactly TWO more credits than me! Now I really need to go to PPP!
jarmor Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 soooo...if I get to IOA at opening and run to the flyers they will let me ride?
Erik Johnson Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 soooo...if I get to IOA at opening and run to the flyers they will let me ride? It worked for us.
Erik Johnson Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 Hey Erik, my two best friends that work at Dragins told me they saw you and Zach talked to you, that is cool, well see you soon. Yes, that was them.
cfc Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Thanks for the update, Erik. I'm really looking forward to HHN this year (I haven't been in six or seven years). HoS at BGA looks pretty cool, too (much bigger than the 'Burg's version). Chuck
obeygiant Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Nice pics! I hope those Fast and the Furious shirts aren't signs of whats to come! HHN looks really good this year, and all the decorations aren't even out yet...
Ryan King Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Thanks For The Turtle Comment! Looking forward to seeing you next month...and you took Will??? WHY!!! Haha! We love you Will! Nice TR, Im stoked for HHN! w00t! Cya There Erik! LOVE YA! -Ryan
WillMontu Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 ^ I was there to pay for gas. See my TR but I guess I'm not cool enough for people to read my TR's. We still need to get the Old Town credits though Carlos - The ride-ops on the Ice side of the Dragons recognized out TPR shirts and almost denied us riding
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Thanks for the pics. Does IOA always open before 9am, or do you just have to catch it on the right day??? Also, does Universal open early as well?
Erik Johnson Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Thanks for the pics. Does IOA always open before 9am, or do you just have to catch it on the right day??? Also, does Universal open early as well? You know I am not sure, but both times I have been around opening time, they have opened (IOA at least) at least 15 minutes early so you can get a quick ride on The Hulk and Spiderman before the park "officially" opens.
mcjaco Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 ^ Or they just like to make you a test ride dummy!
Hattuchili Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hey Erik, thanks for the pictures! I can not wait to go back to the Studios for the HHN. It will be my first time this year! --Sören
cfc Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 ^It's a lot of fun, Soren. Haven't been in six or seven years myself, so I'm really looking forward to checking it out and meeting some more TPRites (and to finally riding Revenge of the Mummy). Chuck
