New theme park related movie coming out...

Lion's Gate films will be releasing a new movie called "Dark Ride", you can see some details here...

At this point it is now known whether the movie will be a theatrical release or go right to DVD but judging from the trailer this looks like it may be an actual SCARY horror movie for once!

Why can't they make a movie about coasters that isn't filled up with blood, gore, and bad writing?

I would love to see a movie about a police agency investigating an accident on a coaster. More of a procedural than a horror movie.

I mean a good one, a well-researched one. Like a lot of the new movies coming out about old crimes that haven't yet been solved.

 

Sort of Cold Case meets the coaster world.

Nothing beats "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park". There is an awesome POV of Revolution during the opening credits. That and the cheesy effects. Classic!

Because there are no accidents on rollercoaster to investigate, only dumb people who stand up in a woodie or kids with hart trauma that go in disney rides

I think it looks pretty good, I have alot of "Straight to DVD" Lion Gates films...usually horror/thriller movies...Some of them are better than some of the crap that goes to theaters. This looks promising, the trailer looked great!

Looks pretty awesome to me. Not only do I love coasters, but I love my share of dark rides as well. I have FD3, so this is definatley a "must-have" for me.

Check out a movie literally called "Rollercoaster". It's not that well written but it is amusing and has some fun scenes of Magic Mountain (I THINK) and maybe PKD. I think it was made in the late 70s or early 80s.

Oh man, sorry to be random but a "SAW" themed ride would just be awesome, would actually make for a greta wlakthrough. Why hasn't anyone acted on this yet? It would be hugely popular.
