B-DIDDY Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I really like this park and enjoy each visit i make to it! I was just wondering how the attendance looked this year so far. I hope its picking up! Wild Water Kingdom is alot of fun and its a great water park! Well please let me know how the park is doin. Thanks
cannonballer Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 HOLY HELL! I aint EVER going there! Its like a cattle round up!
Astat Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah, but if you go to the rides side of the park, it's usually DEAD.
cannonballer Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 COOL. BUT My girlfriend is a "slides enthudidt" so to speak an dtrust me she would drag my butt all through that mess!!!
steel Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah, that picture is of a hot day in the waterpark. To answer your question: Nonexistant. Walkons for everything on a beautiful day in July. That doesn't even make sense but it happened.
HOYS Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I went last thursday, if CF would of allowed rerides, I could of just sat there on Dominator the whole day. Even the water park wasnt packed. You always have some sort of wait for slides (Since they are 1 rider per train )
CoasterFanatic Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 That picture is kind of a joke. It is of probably one of the largest crowds of the year. Typicall GL is not too bad at all. Even on a busy day, you can get the slides if you get there early. As for the rides area ... no problem at all.
mcjaco Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 When I went in June it was empty. The water park had the larger portion of the crowd. It was real empty on the ride side, so empty that one of the game vendors actually gave up on asking us to play. Our final go around was, "C'mon guys, you're killing me. Just play once.....I beg of you."

I didn't go this year but last year when I went I rode Dominator around 5 times and I was the only one on twice.
FlyingScooter Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Ted: you have bad luck with GL. Wasn't it last year you went on Cleveland Clinic day?
Devious Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 just got home from Geauga lake Walkons or near walkons on EVERYTHING, seriously, dominator, raging wolf, dipper, thunderhawk.... Excluding the breakdown x flight had earlier in the day
Masked_Maverick Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Coming from someone whose childhood park was Geauga Lake I really hope that attendance really picks up on the ride side becasue they do have some good coasters. I guess we will have to wait and see what CF does to the park in the future.
CoasterFanatic Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Wasn't it last year you went on Cleveland Clinic day? Yep. This year, I even called ahead to make sure it WASN'T Cleveland Clinic day. They must have thought I was the biggest racist in existence!
B-DIDDY Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 does octoberfest bring alot of people into the park?
CoasterFanatic Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 It has no affect on the crowds. Just go. Trust me ... it won't be bad.
steel Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Here's a surprising picture. http://www.rcdb.com/ig283.htm?picture=2 That parking lot is just incredible. And look at the LINE for Headspin!
Primogen18 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 That was still when it was Six Flags though (superman logo on "steel venom")
lapseofreason Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 ^That doesn't matter. It was Six Flags when I marathoned Raging Wolf Bobs, 19 times, at night, during their Halloween thingie. The park was empty.
Primogen18 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 ohh ok, I see alot of places that the crowds left after six flags with the animals gone and everything, I knew SF had something to do with driving the crowds away with their management of the place, but I didn't know that was such a larger reason (I heard so many places that the animals leaving were a large part of them losing attendance as well).
mb425 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 That pic is most likely from 2000 when Six Flags added 4 new roller coasters to the park- Villain, Superman (Steel Venom), Batman (Dominator), and Road Runner (Beaver Land Mine Ride).
B-DIDDY Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 That was a great year for OHIO! SOB MF BKF V SUF RRE
FlyingScooter Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Every time I've driven by the park, usually once a week at varied times, the parking lot is maybe 1/4 full. I think when they release the figures, this year will show better attendance.
