Storm Runner Rollbacks?

What Problems was Storm Runner having?

I'm going to venture and say the same problems every single Intamin rocket coaster had.

went to Gadv today and KK had a rollback, w/out passengers though. Just thought everyone should know that KK CAN rollback. It is just really really rare.

I think we all know that any rocket coaster CAN roll back. KK on many occasions (though not as much as TTD)

Is Storm Runner reliable, because I'm going to Hershey this August and wanted to know how well it runs.

 

Oh yeah, should I head to Storm Runner first when I go and are its lines really long?

Yes, Storm Runner is very reliable. I've only ever seen it down once out of the 3 times I've been there and it was only down for 3 hours. Go first thing in the morning and the lines should be near walk on. Lines don't usually get too long. I've never seen it above 40 minutes.

I went last friday and the line never got down the stairs of the station. It was amazing. The wait never got longer than 10 minutes.

Yea... that was around the time i rode it too... But at times it seriously looks like it's going to rollback, as it crawls over it, but other times it Hairs over it.

is that normal?

I highly doubt it ever rolled back. Smaller Intamin rockets usually don't but I'm not 100% percent sure.

 

Kanonen is the smallest Intamin Rocket and it rolls back SEVERAL times each day!

 

Isn't that easily expected, though? I mean, it BARELY makes it over the top each time!

KK's rollbacks were definately not rare last season when it first opened. It would roll back at least three times before it BARELY made it over the top, then it started flying over.

 

I haven't seen it roll back once this year though... the odds are definately not good of getting a roll back ride on any Intamin accelerator, it seems like they have an "easier" time going over their respective hats now.
