We may end up doing a series of videos, like the Pound It video, Joey on the Monkey Bars, etc, clips that we would be producing for our DVDs anyway.

You could make a video podcast of clips of stuff....random old footage or something. Less time consuming, and cool.

I would love a "Random Videos of TPR" video podcast... I would subscribe to that in a second. I think that would be an ideal promotion for the site and for your dvds... Definitely consider some H.264 videos though as they are much better quality for the bitrate compared to MPEG4.

I have the ghetto original 15GB Ipod from like three years ago. The fast forward button has been worn out so much that its now very tempermental!

Isn't H.264 a fairly new compression system? I really want to go with something that's more widely known not necessarily "higher end."

So here's another question for the iPod video users. Have any of you converted our current .mpg videos we have for download to the iPod and how much difference is the quality from the one I posted in this thread?

I noticed absolutely no difference, and I'm very picky.

Robb, you rock!

Elissa, you rock as equally much so!

P.S. I converted it to 16:9 with PSPVideo9

P.S.S. Now that it works for PSP video, you should make the poll PSP and Video iPod. Jusst a suggestion though. . also, it will open the video to a whole nother section of users. Those with PSP and not iPod. which, I don't know if there are many like that. But I sure as hell am one.

The one you posted was a little higher quality from what I can tell, but it doesn't make much of a difference to me.

Wow awesome job. I love having the video on my ipod and the quality is amazing. Most of the time i just use Pspvideo9 to convert vids for my psp and ipod to .mp4 which gives a little less quality than the vid you posted. I can't wait to see more TPR ipod videos if you decide to actually go forward with it.

Hmm...ok, so if all you iPod Video owners can take the .mpg videos that we already post and convert them to iPod fairly easily, and the video quality isn't that much different, is there really any value to me posting a special mp4 version in addition to the mpg version?

I just really want to do a bit more research because this little venture could potentially eat up a lot of bandwidth which = cost me more money!

The video works very well. Quality is amazing. Video is amazing.

I can get most videos onto my iPod. I convert them, and upload them, but some don't have any audio. This worked very very well and was extremely easy for me! I neeed to know how to convert all my videos. I'm not very good with that type of stuff!

Personally...

While having a portable TPR series or other coaster videos on an iPod would be a, cute novelty, I dont see how there is a real need to have them. I never download a video in iPod format when there is another PC version available. I cant really see them being used for fresh entertainment. More for "rewatching the same segments in a meager attempt to stop being bored". And frankly, even low-tech users such as myself have access to free software that could convert the material, if need be.

I'm not saying people wouldn't download it if you offered it! I just think it wouldn't be worth your time, effort, and money to invest in them...especially when we could do it ourselves if we really wanted it.

Well, Robb you should make your next 3 vids MP4, then see what the results are. So, I can try it too, since I'm getting a Vid iPod soon.

Good Luck with this, from teh bottom of my heart!
