Frade
Awesome idea, and great job, hope to see that coaster done anytime
siestakey
Yes, hopefully I will finish it before September.
siestakey
PICS! I started the twister section from the end. Here are two shots of what I have (the last part of the twister, that long right turn): [/img]
coastakid
Great work! but, I think that may have a "too" sharp of a turn there.... I can't wait to see this beast completed!
siestakey
Well, I'd had it wider, but the pieces just came apart on me, it was the way it was made, and this was the only way to keep it together. It looks good though right?
siestakey
Okay, I added the headchopper, and whatever it's called when the track goes over the ransition between turn, and I added the left turn. but the transition from the two turns was horrible, so I'm going to redo it. arrowfanman
I would build forwards and test as you go, if you know what I mean. Gravity affects models differently than real coasters, so building it to the exact scale wont achieve the desired effects. But looks good! -Jahan
siestakey
Yeah, I'm going to completely restart the twister section once I finish my 40 footer.
phazan
That one turn might slow the train down a lot due to how sharp it is. Knex coasters (As I'm sure you already know) Loose speed really fast, so you might want to be carefull if you want it to run through the whole course. But, I must say, it looks AWESOME so far! trustkill22
I would not have the patience at all to build something like that. I tried making a drop tower out of K'NEX and I had it going but then the cart stopped working so I body check into the wall and then body slammed it into the floor. And I have to say it was a great feeling.
siestakey
Yeah it is. Yesterday, I couldn't get the twister to stay together, and i literally threw it at a wall and it shattered. I started over and got what you saw in 5 mins. lol
coasterfreak11
That turn is wayyy to tight. The train won't make it through there, and if it does, it will slow down A LOT.
siestakey
Yeah, I'm starting it over, once I finish my 40 footer.
twisted_propaganda
Hey, where can I get a rollercoaster "kit" from Knex? I just want the rolling stock, etc.
siestakey
You can get them in Toys 'R' Us and stuff, but they don't sell the Screamin' Serpent anymore, which in my mind, was the only good set. www.knex.com Just order from there, you have to get the Screamin'Serpent though, it's so much better then the others. They are advertising their Vertical Vengeance set, don't get that, it's crap.

WillMontu
Wow. Where are you going to be putting this together? It looks like the living room might be too small.
chaos
He wanted to put the finished model at Great Adventure, but i don't know how that went. I'm sure he has room somewhere or he wouldn't be building it.
siestakey
Yeah, I'm either putting it IN Great Adventure, or on a boardwalk by my house. ^Where I am going to put the Lake Monster.
GMAN962
Wow, that's amazing......i mean, you're not finished, but it's somet, take things something bigger and more major than something i would build (I love to build things, take things apart, etc.) That's an amazing feat. When you're finished, you must post a video of it in action. GREAT WORK!
