IOA Left Over land??

Recommended Posts

well i found this site from someone eles that posted in a different topic and searched around on it and this is what i found......

(you have to select IOA Before you can see this)

Its a brids eye veiw of IOA and there are two medium "lots" in The Jurassic Park Area that could be used for new rides.

Also if you scroll all the way to the bottom there are two large lots Separated from IOA by a road (not sure of the name)

Are these owned by Universal? If they were i would see them being used for a future hotel site.

I thought that part of the land/space was being sold (or up for sale). Universal just wanted to unload it. But, I think the report was about 2 yrs ago or longer. Maybe U-S decided to keep it.

I believe that Elissa stated on another post, that IOA had more than enough room for a major coaster or other major attraction. She gave examples of other tightly packed theme parks that have managed to maximize the use of the space that is available to them.

The empty space south of IOA is Universal property. It will be used for hotels and possibly a water park. The land that was sold by Universal was next to the Convention Center.

I agree they have plenty of space for new atractions, but they are going to use it for something they need. They need a new attraction of some kind, but they dont need a new roller coaster.

Exactly. I've always found it funny when people say "Park X doesn't have enough room for another big attraction" and it's usually that same Park X that then builds something HUGE in an area where most people think something wouldn't fit.

I'd love to list examples, but that would be too easy!

Yeah, definitely. I mean, it would be pretty darn difficult to top the last coaster they put in. As coaster enthusiasts, I'm sure we could all agree that the last thing IOA needs is another world class coaster, right? I could only imagine the anticipointment that would result from trying to outdo Unicorn and the High in the Sky powered thingy, or whatever it is.
