Thrillrider15
I have been wondering for a long time now, what the history of the Togo Company is. So I finally decided to do some research on this. I didn't find much though. Here's some information I found on www.bannister.org. This is the information it has posted, Togo is based in Tokyo, Japan.Togo International was formed in the mid 1960s by Kazou Yamada. It is the only major manufacturer of Roller Coasters in Japan, and was the first company to introduce a stand up roller coaster. Mentioned in the article above, was the name of "Kazou Yamada". He is the owner of Togo as far as I know, and he also designed the solution to the pipeline coaster. But this is all that I could find about this company. Does anybody know more about Togo? Canobie Fan
They use to have a US Div. But it was sold to Premier. And they also own/own'd a park in Japan much like how Mack owns a park in Germany. WillMontu
This video might be of interest. I captured this off one of my old VHS tapes (recorded back when TLC had something other than reality shows) Death Machines.zip

trustkill22
I love the whole fact that he basically told us his coasters are terrible and the GP has to suck up the pain to ride them.
Hercules
What do I know about Togo? I know that Viper sucked. That's all I need to know.
okinawaboy11
Well what I know, is that Shockwave at PKD is still in good condition. And there models in Japan are actually pretty fun. Smooth. Manahatten Express SUCKS. And Viper was Horrible. Ultra Twsters are a lot of fun though.
QueerRudie
TOGO- Hmmm... I can think of a few taglines about riding a TOGO coaster- "TOGO. Fast, Cheap and Out of Control." "TOGO. Well, At least it's not a Vekoma." "The Japanese Run-Of- Luck ran out after Toyota, Honda and Olympus." "TOGO. Feel what it's like to be plowed into by a few linebackers." "TOGO. Necks. Who needs em'?" "TOGO.If there are theme parks in Hades, we will build them!" "TOGO. If looks could Kill." "TOGO. When you care enough to build the very least." "TOGO. Sponsored by Advil, Bayer, Nuprin and Aleve." "TOGO. Keeping Chiropractors in business since 1984." "TOGO. Pain in the 4th Dimension."
Johnlloyd
I'm bringing this topic back to life! Here is a promotional video for TOGO advertising their coasters and rides of the time, when this video was created. I'm guessing it was created around 1992.
