Baby's First Theme Park
Chroniq replied to Chroniq's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Is "we're" a roundabout way of saying "I'm"? Is "we're" a roundabout way of saying "I'm"? I suppose that it is. Kristin is way too nice to condone trolling. -

^^Thanks for the nice comments, but even though BeemerBoy might think otherwise, Bean is a boy! (Full Disclosure: His government name is Christian, but that's a terrible name) -
This Sunday, Kristin Connolly and I took our son Bean to his FIRST.THEMEPARK.EVAR. Since he probably won't remember it, what better way to document the day than a TPR trip report. Bean- When you are old enough to sign up for TPR, please don't hate us. Hershey Park has a Christmas event called Candylane. It's strictly for the little ones as all of the coasters are closed. It is a great value at $12.50 per person (Bean flys free). He met Santa, his reindeer, and got his first flat ride ride credits... Ok, enough talk- on to the pictures. Bean's first attempt to "measure up" to go on the big rides. He kept telling everyone he was a "kiss" due to his stroller, but he is clearly a "miniature" Bean just learned that eating poinsettias is not a great idea. This is Bean's first amusement park ride ever. Years later, he'll look back on this and wonder why he couldn't ride storm runner. "Dad, I'm not afraid of heights, but you promise this isn't a drop tower?" Moments before CPS was called. I had forgotten to mention that Herhey Park was opened up solely for us. This Trip Report includes less people than Chad's Mount Olympus Report. Yes- This is the least fun Bean had at Hershey today. Yes- I'm outfitted with more "dad' stuff than I feel comfortable sharing, but Kristin liked this photo so here you go. "Dad, I don't think I'm ready for a coaster yet!" We told Bean this was Rudolph. We are terrible parents. Bean meets his first theme park character. The expression on his face says- "Yeah, that gingerbread man is sketchy" Clearly not impressed with the "kissing tower" ride, Bean goes for his first scrambler credit. 5 minutes after this photo was taken we were forced to give Bean his first "the birds and the bees" talk. This photo only exists, to show Beemer Boy that I'm terrible with a camera. Bean is clearly a carousel enthusiast. See!!! I told you! "I'm not sure I'm ready for this yet, Dad" Via Bean= "Seriously guys, I'm not a prop. I'm a person!" Exclusive photo of Santa and his reindeer enjoying ERT on Comet. Hopefully this photo will convince LarryGator to tell me where they are building "dark ride paradise" Thank you bronze statue for creating this park. (Seriously Milton Hershey was probably one of the best philanthropists of his time... Google that ish) Bean had so much fun that he was entirely wiped out at the end of the day. Thanks for reading!

And quite frankly. If you don't want the prize, don't effing play! It's really, REALLY insulting to us. Just wanted to put that out there. Really? Some people enjoy playing for the challenge and social interation of the awesome site you created... just saying. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I heard that they were going to melt down all the steel and make the slushy stand the showcase attraction for 2012. You know, to give it some flair. It's only a rumor though. The guy at the Dippin' Dots stand at IAAPA told me. So take it with a grain of salt, unless you don't like salt with Dippin' Dots. Maybe you should use sprinkles instead. I heard the exact same thing. I think this will be a great addition to Hershey in 2012. -

More Skyrush photos.. Now with 73 percent more aerial photos If I told you the track in this photo was actually attached to footers and in place would you believe me? No? Go check the much better photos of it taken by the poster above and apologize please. Here is some track and supports that just met, but plan on getting together Monday if things work out between them. Does a track sit in the woods? I have no idea what this is, but I think this might be related to the new slushy stand they are building. This is the world's worst water feature. I tried to gain access to the apartment building in this photo to get some more exclusive angles of the skyrush construction and was immediately arrested. I was told by the four year old standing next to me, that this was the motor that would power the lift hill using nothing but water. I was unable to verify the rumor. This photo was taken from the top of the kissing tower. I probably should have read the sign before going on this ride as, apparently, kissing the ride op is not allowed. One more aerial shot of skyrush. Just a quick note that this was my son Bean's (we were drunk when we named him) first trip to an amusement park. So I hope you check out my upcoming trip report of how a 10 week old enjoys riding front seat on Storm Runner. Thanks for reading! -
Paul's Boutique Reference - Check Calling Stupid People out- Check Incredibly Beautiful Photos- Check Boat Drinks- Check. Best TPR.PHOTO.QUOTE.EVAR "It's hard damn work being a "minion" or a "dbag." "Hi, haters. Here's to ya! Still love ya!" " -Check Random Bong Photos- Check... Gratuitous Cruise Ship Photos- Check Chick in Bikini with a knife on the beach Dr. No Style- Check Jurassic Park reference- Check Hidden Raptor- Check So yeah. This is the best TPR Trip Report Ever. It covers basically everything I look for in a trip report. The only possible deductions that come to my mind is this TR lacks an alcohol filled, erupting volcano. Chris "the only I could see this trip report needing is more cowbell" Connolly Edited to say- My reading comprehension is clearly lacking and Scott clearly got the "slide at Margaritaville" credit.

Is there any chance that Nights in White Satin has been saved and will be restored at this location? If so, I'll take a season pass.... Full Disclosure: After Larry posted that google maps image, I was like "oh, the games on bitches".. So if anyone has happened to fly over this location or is an alien then please post your guesses. For Mr. Toad's sake.

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

Any personal data about a guest will be stored on encrypted servers. The RFID tag will only contain a unique identifying, encrypted number (that's salted, for all of you hackers out there). So even if encrypted cloning of tags becomes an actuality in the upcoming years, all of your personal info will be safe. Regarding fastpasses- This has been rumored forever, but expect Disney to allow guests staying on property to book a certain amount of fastpasses months before their trip. -
Things I took away from the IAAPA, EPISODE 3 video- Looking forward to the first original Rocky Mountain train+coaster+design concept. I'm sure it will be amazing. Get Excited! "Shooting back" is the feature that will take shooting dark rides to the next level. It makes sense that Sally Corp was the group that advanced the technology. Gobbler Getaway- We ARE calling the turkeys (Hopefully we'll also be calling/helping the penguins in Seaworld's new attraction. High Five- I need to see a POV of this once it's built. Sounds like great fun (and also has potential for a new TPR game).. Has this been announced? The Mack Manta coaster clearly has a camera for on ride videos.

Elissa, I figured it would just be a "keys to the kingdom" for the industry folks- but the description (including next gen stuff, which I'm clearly fascinated by) had me excited. I'm sure it would be a softball tour, but the fact that no one covered it makes me intrigued if anything worth while was shared. As always, your coverage is the best in the business.

Just wondering if anyone has seen a report from the media about this event. "Disney at Dawn Take a very exclusive tour to the Walt Disney World® Resort and see it as few others can. The tour begins at dawn – literally – and you will experience Disney’s Hollywood Studios® before the gates open, before the guests arrive, and before the magic begins. Jim MacPhee, Senior Vice President, WDW Parks and Next Generation Experience* will greet you upon arrival and provide an overview of Walt Disney World® Park Operations. The experience continues with an escorted behind-the scenes visit to several areas of the park. Finally you will enjoy breakfast and the opportunity to ask questions of several senior Disney leaders. *Guest speakers are subject to change." It took place on Monday morning and I haven't seen a report on any site.

The Kuka robot arm photo made my day. I wonder how many IAAPAs will take place before we see a Kuka arm building another kuka arm. Does the 8 grand velociraptor move at all? I'm assuming for that price it doesn't . If it's an actual animatronic, then I'm selling a kidney and putting that in my living room.
