  2. 7 sep: - Spend whole day at Grand Canyon Luckily we also had the next day to enjoy the Grand Canyon, but today it was also very clowded and cold. So again we were not lucky to se the sunset at the Grand Canyon. First we all went to the visitor center, were we wanted to see the Imax movie about the history of the Grand Canyon. Than we had time to do some hiking or make a helicopter flight above the canyon. The girls and Matia were happy to survive the helicopter flight. A bit of sunshine. Can you see the Colorado River?? Me, livin' on the edge A monument for some guy who was the first to explore the river in a boat. The Grand Canyon A small display at the visitor center
  3. 6 sep: - Drive from Lake Havasu to Grand Canyon Because we arrived very late at our campground at Lake Havasu, we only had time to put up our tents and have dinner. There was no time to enjoy the view. But this morning we woke up early and had a beautiful view of the lake. But this is not a real lake, only a part of a river. After having breakfast we went to Lake Havasu City we we had some time to take a look at the famous London Bridge, which was an old bridge out of the city of London in Great Britain. Next was a drive to our campground near the Grand Canyon. Matia told us that he knew a great place to enjoy the sunset. But during this drive it became more and more cloudy in the sky and we saw rain and thunder in the distance. We all wanted the sun to shine again, but it stayed clowded the rest of the day. Some people doing scary things. The Grand Canyon around sunset. The London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. The beautiful view. Our tents near the lake.
  4. I did not know you guys liked my report, there was only one reply on the first part of my report. But if you like it, I will try to finish this report soon. The only reasons for me that I did not finish it allready was the problem with my computer, Some things going on at my work and the trip/holiday planning for this years holiday. But I also comletely forgot about this topic. ---------------------------------------------- The report: 5 sep: - Drive through Joshua Tree National Park to Lake Havasu Today it was a long drive from our campground in San Diego to the next campground at Lake Havasu. The only stop we made today was at the first National Park we were going to visit during this trip. It was the Joshua Tree National Park. The visitor center, where we had our lunch break. A giant joshua tree a walk into Hidden Valley The first Joshua Trees of the day. This is not a tree, bur a cactus. Matia, our crazy italian trekleader Skull Rock
  5. Ok here is my list. Keverbaan @ Attractiepark Slagharen Avonturenslang @ Avonturenpark Hellendoorn Rioolrat @ Avonturenpark Hellendoorn Greased Lightnin' @ PGA Stealth @ PGA Cop Car Chase @ Moviepark Germany La Via Volta @ Walibi World (Only operational till the end of this month)
  6. This is my top 10: 1 - Tatsu (SFMM) 2 - Riddlers Revenge (SFMM) 3 - Stealth (PGA) 4 - Goliath (SFMM) 5 - Black Mamba (Phantasialand) 6 - Batman The Ride (SFMM) 7 - Xcelerator (KBF) 8 - Speed The Ride (Nascar Cafe) 9 - Dragon Khan (PortAventura) 10 - Silver Bullet (KBF) -------------------- 11 - Colossos (Heidepark) 12 - Deja Vu (SFMM) 13 - Goliath (Walibi World) 14 - Colorado Adventure (Phantasialand) 15 - Invertigo (PGA)
  7. For me it was already a Not So Great America when they removed both Stealth and Greezed Lightnin' and built a stupid waterpark in 2002/2003. What will be the next major thrillride that will be removed from the park?
  8. Deja Vu does really look great without that piece of firewood behind it. But I really am sad about it that I did not ride it last September when I was visiting SFMM for the first time ever. Yes that ride was crap, but now I don't have that thing as a credit on my list. Is Deja Vu allready back in operation after it was closed for the removing of Psyclone? And do you have some news about Flashback?? I think it will be removed before Huricane Harber will be open for this year.
  9. Yes, finally they do some interesting work. And because the track is allreaddy onside, i hope they will go vertical very quickly. Did kbf allready say when Sierra will open?
  10. No that's the one at Moviepark Germany
  11. I thought the original Wally World, from those movies was located at SFMM?
  12. Right now I have done a couple of those towers. But before I had done the first one, I was scared of those things. My list of drop/shot/freefall towers (in random order): - Tower Of Terror @ DCA - Hurakan Condor @ PortAventura - Scream @ Heidepark - High Fall/Wild Bunch @ Moviepark Germany - Drop Zone Stunt Tower @ PGA - Power Tower II @ Dusseldorf fair 2006 - Space Shot @ Walibi World - Big Shot @ Stratosphere Tower - Supreme Scream @ KBF - Maliboomer @ DCA I really like the Intamin towers more then the S&S towers. My favorite Intamin tower is Hurakan Condor because of the hight and the floorless tilting seats and my favorite S&S tower is Big Shot because of were the tower is located. But Tower Of Terror tops them all (or like this: "The One Tower To Ride Them All"). I don't know right now what rides I can add to that list this year. Maybe it will be one or more of the next ones: - Space Vertigo @ Gardaland (Intamin giant freefall) - Columbia & Discovery @ Mirabilandia (S&S spaceshot & turbodrop) - Hollywood Tower @ Movieland Studios (Intamin 1st-gen) - La Venganza del Enigma @ Parque Warner Madrid (S&S combo tower) - Lanzadera @ Parque de Atracciones Madrid (Intamin freefall)
  13. Becuase many of the coasters in my top10 are B&M coasters, I wanted to start something like a B&M fansite. And I wanted to setup some specials about the B&M coasters I have done untill now. These specials will be about the history of these coasters. And I'm looking for some pictures for these specials. This has to be pictures like Concept-art, Track layout and Construction pictures. I know it will be easy to find those pictures from the newest B&M coasters, but some of the B&M's i have done are already pretty old. And then these pictures are a bit hard to find. I hope you can help me with pictures from these coasters: - Vortex (PGA) - Top Gun (PGA) - Dragon Kahn (Portaventura) - Black Mamba (Phantasialand) - Riddler's Revenge (SFMM) - Batman (SFMM) - Scream (SFMM) - Tatsu (SFMM) - Silver Bullet (KBF)
  14. I don't know which one is the most scary, because i have never done one of those things. But I know the next one will be the most scary slingshot of them all. It is a homemade slingshot. You can see a movie of this thing on the following website: http://www.biertijd.com/mediaplayer/?itemid=1338
  15. Is it possible to record this documentary and put it online?
  16. I saw that video. Do you really think that PortAventura will get the same rides like the Universal Studios themeparks in the USA, like Shrek 4D and Jurrasic Parc?
  17. Do you have any pictures of the site of this q-building?
  18. What's the name of this roller coaster
  19. The Legend @ Holiday World
  20. My favorite coaster is Tatsu, a B&M flying. But almost every B&M i have done is great, except Vortex @ PGA. I have done all B&M types except the Divemachine and Hypercoaster. The nearest B&M Divemachine is Oblivion (Alton Towers) and the nearest Hyper is Silver Star (Europa Park). My B&M top 10 list: 1 - Tatsu (Flying - SFMM) 2 - Riddler's Revenge (Standup - SFMM) 3 - Black Mamba (Inverted - Phantasialand) 4 - Batman The Ride - (Inverted - SFMM) 5 - Silver Bullet (Inverted - KBF) 6 - Dragon Khan - (Sitdown - PortAventura) 7 - Top Gun (Inverted - PGA) 8 - Scream - (Floorless - SFMM) 9 - Vortex (Standup - PGA) 10 -
  21. Do you have pictures of that. I want to see it.
  22. Do you have pictures of the supports??
  23. If MontaƱa Suiza is not the worlds oldest operating steel rollercoaster, then this one is the oldest. http://www.rcdb.com/id1824.htm It is Rodelbaan at Waarbeek in Hengelo (The netherlands) This rollercoaster is build in the 1930s and is still operating.
  24. And I don't know, but is it official, you may get drunk on a rollercoaster
