  3. I want to hit the park up tomorrow, but it looks like I'll be riding solo - which I don't want to do. Tpr meet up?
  4. Didn't this ride get some re tracking back in NOV?
  5. I pray they ditch Vortex. I never see a line when I attend the park, the queue still stinks for some reason , and to be honest its not a great ride IMO. It's too bad the woodie isn't coming next year, a major ride is just what the park needs to generate some more interest/attention. The add of the water park was cool, but our Raging Waters park has better rides and its in the area. Take out Vortex and give us something exciting! If they were going to take it out, what kind of ride/coaster do you think would fit the area? and how the theme of its location in the park should play out in its premise/name.
  6. I agree, Sundays are the way to go! Fellow TPR'r Domm went with me to the Haunt from 9pm-12am and we had a blast. All the major attractions not affected by the Haunt were up and running, including DropTower and Invertigo. Zero lines for rides and Haunts, and I must say the park looks amazing at night. The Haunt is a great effort, CarnEvil is the best haunt there. Very elaborate, definitely on par with the Knotts Haunt, same goes for Club blood *golf clap* I did think the rest of the mazes/haunts needed more scares/actors, it could have been because of the lack of people in the park in general so what do I know The park has so much more potential for the Haunts to come. As we made our way through the park, CGA reminded me of Knotts in a lot of ways that night. Both parks have limited space to work with, let alone add new attractions. With the park tied together in a common Halloween theme, it reminded me of the GA of old. This park has a lot of charm, and when its themed well (thanks for ruining it Paramount) it moves you.
  7. I'm super excited for this blog. Hopefully we get some real insider news on whats happening with the new woodie. Hey TPR's, anyone going to the opening of CGA Haunt tonight? I'm thinking of dusting off the ol Platinum Pass
  8. Tell me about it! I'm getting multiple emails a day from all of the hotels and casinos with amazing deals! If it wasn't so tough to either drive or fly there, I would go in a second! Same here, although Southwest has been airing commercials with a $49 flight to vegas from the bay area. Its very tempting!
  9. ARG! So I just got fired, which means I will not be able to make this years Haunt If anyone was planning on going and needed a reservation, I will be canceling my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott just a block away from the park. PM me if you're interested and maybe I can coordinate a switch over in the reservation instead of canceling.
  10. Thanks, I'll keep trying. Can anyone project how the crowds will be the 2nd weekend in Oct?
  11. Does anyone know if Platinum Season Pass holders can get discount tickets for the Haunt? I tried calling but got the whole, "Im not sure call back later" shtick.
  12. That doesn't make me feel safe.
  13. Awesome, thanks for the update! Hopefully it stays up during the haunt.
  14. Anyone know if this is still down?
  15. Isn't the park open till 10pm?
  16. I passed by the park on the highway yesterday and thought I could see people working on DropTower, has this been down too?
  17. They need to make it bigger!
  18. Could this be the next big thrill at a water park near you? http://gizmodo.com/5040466/airkick-human-catapult-sends-your-flailing-body-26-feet-into-the-air I don't know about you, but that thing looks scary... in a good way!
  19. Does anyone have an update?
  20. These are some of the best DCA pictures! Thanks for posting them!
  21. They turn the ride down a bit during the winter so people can ride it and still have fun with half the wetness. Do you ride during the summer at all? I'm usually drenched head to toe!
  22. What section of the train were you riding?
