I agree, but at the end of the day its still the same ride and I'm going to have just as much fun on it as I did before Especially with the new extended summer hours. Flight Deck till 10pm!!!! I cant wait to ride this in the dark!

It wouldn't matter if they did. If you're familiar with MM employees (and you very well, unfortunately, may be) they'd be too braindead to be telling guests anyway... Communication between "MM staff" and the bums you see walking around in blue shirts and khakis is almost non existent. Sorry Jahan. That was uncalled for. You just act so professional and i'm just, oh i dunno, so jealous of you, your hilarious avatar, and your popularity! I'm sorry man, I just cant relate. Sure, Ive only been to MM once,... tomorrow will be my second time...but I haven't witnessed any rude staff, just the opposite. Even the guy sweeping the park, who barley spoke English, tried his hardest to direct me through the park to my destination. After reading everyones plight on this message board about the poor state of MM, really makes me wonder how bad it used to be....

Everyone should keep in mind that PGA screwed up big time. The years to come should hold good things for CGA, as long as Cedar treats the park right. Imagine the bay area dueling it out park wise over the next 5 years. Promising? My bottle of Jameson says,"yes."

You forget about Discovery Kingdom's Roar? I hope it gives Roar (my #1 cali woodie) a run for its money. You're right, we don't know for sure. But I see replacing the Grizzly with another woodie is the right call for restoring GA to its better days. Having the Grizz and another woodie doesn't make sense to me. The Grizzly has zero airtime, HURTS, has uncomfortable seating in the trains, and is slower than all hell. My grandma can get out and walk faster than it takes its turns.

I'm curious to know what rides are remaining open, and why certain rides are being closed. Can you shed any light?....campfire light is acceptable, just remember..... Glad to hear the Alveys are safe n' sound.

Jebus, that picture looks gnarly. I'll try and post a report after my trip to SFMM this coming Sunday, hopefully the blaze will be under control by then. I plan on taking some pictures of the hills surrounding the park from the tower.

And to think SFMM put all that money into demo'ing Psyclone, when they could have just let it burn

I've rode twice in my life, and thats enough for me. I'm not into hurting my neck, head, and balls all at once..... unless someone buys me dinner first. then we'll talk.

I didn't see any cell phone usage, or encounter any rudeness when I attended last month. The employee's were helpful, ride op's looked to be having fun...maybe this is a sign of better things to come for the park.

If you do, hit me up. It will be nice to hit a handful parks with someone motivated to ride.

I haven't been on any other Goliath except the one at SFMM, so I can't fully answer, but I do love the first drop. It's super intense! Definitely one of my favorite non-lopping steal costers. I do wish it had more airtime hills, and a less harsh brake run...but then, its not a perfect world.

I recently just had my first SFMM experience, and loved it. Although I only went for the evening, I did manage to ride Goliath 3 times in a row, and once off of a 3 min wait. The park was clean, no crowds, zero thugs or line jumpers, and I got to meet Jahan at the end of the day. Could it get any better than that?! P.S. Tatsu at night was amazing!

I'm heading to Magic Mtn. this Sunday, and the Disney resort Mon-Tues. I've never gone this time of the year, and I'm wondering what to expect. Any help guys?

Agreed. When I rode it a couple months ago it shook my spine so hard, I had a headache all day long.
