As a Disney and Star Wars fan boy, I am very optimistic about this. Everyone is right, it cant get much worse (as it has been in GL's hands), and any doubters should remember that Pixar and Marvel have put out quality films since their deals with Disney. So many genuine LOL's at everyone trying to redesign Disneyland. Same, activating my off season mode...or what I call "RCT and No Limits season." Still planning on hitting up GWW, and there's talk of us maybe doing Gilroy Gardens (Gold Pass FTW!). Still never been to GG and I have the gold pass.

I ran to the park on my lunch break (11pm) tonight to try to get a last ride or two of the season. I got to ride demon once, but by the time I made it to FD they closed down the queue. I really wish they did some sort of New Years Eve night.

I agree, Goldrusher in the dark is awesome! You cant see whats coming around those turns, and it freaks me out.

If youre a haunt/halloween buff, I would recommend getting the front of the line pass so you can do it all. If you go early enough, you can get through most queues without having to use the pass. Then take it easy later on in the night, ride some coasters, and then use the front of the line to redo the ones you really liked with the option of catching the shows.

Flight Deck

I go to the park once a month, sometimes more, and Splash Mountain is usually a ride I stop by for a ride. I would say this is classic MiceChat over-dramatics as even I (a frequent visitor) have found it hard to see animatronics not working, or props as you they describe "decaying." Unless you get on the ride a few times in a row and try to eyeball EVERY SINGLE problem, which no average guest does. You got to be careful around that site, they can really ruin what still happens to be a very nicely run resort with very nice rides. Thanks man that really helps out alot. I would go and check it out myself, but my Delux Season pass expired and with the prices of admission growing higher, I don't see myself re-newing it anytime soon . So i take it MiceChat isn't a good source for park info When I rode (about 3 months ago) I noticed a bunch animatronics not working. It was pretty bad. - All Bee Hives did not spin - Both Brer Bear scenes had no movement (the bear taint scene, and the one where Brer Fox is pushing his butt) - Brer Rabbit stuck in the BeeHive/honey did not move - The animals on the railroad Handcar overhead was broken - One buzzard at the laughing place scene was removed and being repaired, while the remaining one was out of sync - Handful of non-functioning animatronics in the finale (zipadeedoodah)

That will be CGA's new for 2012 addition that will be removed by 2013.

Last year I did the VIP Haunt with TPR and it was in in late Sept. I for one was glad we had front of the line. It allowed us to get some rides in on Xcelerator, while being able to do all the haunts and shows. I can see Xcelerator and NOT ride it

I would spring for a Flash Pass, especially with an upcoming concert on the 15th, and after that the hours shortening with crowd levels remaining constant. [Edit]: Get a gold Flash Pass. I second this. The gold pass; you can get a steady rhythm of queuing your groups next ride after the flass pass checker validates your current reservation. By the time you get off your current ride and walk to the next reservation, you're ready to ride!
