  1. Maybe its due to my size (or now lack thereof), but I have yet to have a rough ride on X2. Either that, or I'm too medicated to notice... I'll just shut up now. Yolo.
  2. I wish I had gotten a chance to ride Perilous Plunge, but that thing was always down when I visited.
  3. I've used both platinum and gold, and the gold got me on everything in one day
  4. They did not extend the shoot because of your email. They are also not having this event to "satisfy happy riders,", so no one is thanking you. Also, There was only one downtime yesterday. Every time the train stopped on the lift was so the camera can get different angles. Are you sure about that? Why would they keep stopping the train on the lift to try different camera angles when they could just wait to dispatch it? Tuesday it was having real technical difficulties and stopping on the lift was the result, so maybe those were actual 'mini' downtimes because this issue has not yet been resolved, would not be surprising or bad, it's still a brand new ride and things need to be worked out. Doesn't make sense to dispatch the train only to stop it on the lift to move cameras around when they could do that before they dispatch the train. It makes perfect sense from a photography standpoint. They need to move as the day light moves to eliminate shadows or the shots won't work. They probably also wanted to get some solid stills without any movement. I remember only one mini downtime, after that they cycled the trains without riders to make sure everything was cleared up. I would imagine they wouldn't need so many days to do this if the same amount of riders were available during the early afternoon when the sun is over head rather than 5pm-8pm.
  5. I did the same. Although putting in TPR came to mind, I didn't want to come off like I'm representing the site without permission.
  6. I figured as much. People with their hands up, wearing clothing with logos/sport teams, etc. They should have someone doing quality control since they're spending wads of money to do this. Production aint cheap!
  7. I just checked my voice mail, they're extending the promo shoot to Friday as well!
  8. ^ This is correct. They even announced it over the PA speakers. No sign up needed, bring as many friends/family as you can, bottom line is they need riders.
  9. I witnessed a lot of line jumpers, but in defense of the park, I did see staff deal with a couple of them. Apart from that, the ride is amazing! Each row I sat in gave me a different experience, not so much as to say one was better, but definitely unique. I'm glad I didn't wear my hair the way I usually do, or by the end of the day I would look like I got electrocuted. This coaster hauls major ass. Definitely feels faster than advertised. It was also awesome to meet some fellow boarders as well. Also, I'm not sure why some have complained about the noise. The park is dead quiet, besides some queue music that started later in the evening. I'm sure with a bunch of GP, general park noise, etc. it wont seem as loud. I Can't wait to do it all again tomorrow!
  10. Got my bag, and its crap-tastic! And I mean that in the most awesome way possible. Thanks TPR!
  11. Wow guys, I cannot wait for tomorrow and Thursdays shoot!
  12. Great pictures! I'm even more pumped for GS!
  13. Just got confirmed for Wed and Thurs shoots!
  14. Dont make the same mistake I did my first WCB! I wore crappy shoes, ended up getting shin splints, and couldn't make the Knotts day.
  15. Did you check your spam folder? TPR member, JeffyJosephNorCal found his email in the spam folder. I did, it wasn't there.
  16. In all fairness, the announcement does say its "the wildest ride in the wilderness"
