  1. ^Really? A boomerang? Come on, it's the most duplicated coaster on the planet, at least pick a picture that offers a few clues on where to look.
  2. ^That... could be surprisingly cool for scenery based dark rides.
  3. after you makea track, you can go to track settings and theres a menu there that lets you change everything abnout the coaster, including its type
  4. I hope you'll pardon my being too tired to go dig up the exact video where I saw this, but I once viewed footage from the old, old days of coney Island and there was definitely something there that I did not think could really exist. A rollercoaster that jumps a gap in the track. Obviously it wasn't a big old train like the ones we have today, and obviously it didn't fit neatly back onto a set of rails, but there was a track, a gap, and a jump from on side to the other. Oh, hey, how about that, found some info about it on google.
  5. ^Seeing as they're treating the park as more of a showcase for their rides I wouldn't be surprised if they just replace old rides with newer ones, like a storefront. I really don't see an Indiana Beach/Blackpool pleasure beach situation going on where everything is built in a big spaghetti bowl and on top of each other.
  6. Yeah, same goes for phyter, it's really great to ahve you guys so readily and nicely answering our questions!
  7. ^The video already showed that you can
  8. That video looks amazing! I love that I totally recognized Voyage even before the full rendering of it. The features... Oh the features! I really love the depumper and the realtime G force display the cV curve system is a little scary to me, since I just started learning CV modeling nad reached the conclusion I'm not a huge fan of CV curves but... I'll get used to it. Is there any praticular reason you modeled Voyage without it's tunnels? Just wondering.
  9. ^I'm not on the dev team but I'd like to point out that the things you mentioned are bugs in the original game. this isn't an update to the original game, its a new program altogether. The terrain issues in the first one probably come from the fact that the game didnt originally have a terrain editor to begin with and it was a plugin someone developed, which was later incorporated into the game. Subterranean NL1 tunnels are sort of "cheats" NL2 has an actual built in feature for them. I doubt they'd put it in and release it if it wasn't working anywhere near properly.
  10. ^Select the track segment and go to track segment settings. there is an option there about what ot do to the seats.
  11. Forcefulness. At least if it comes with some other benefits such as an interesting layout or other enjoyable elements, but I'd pick a unique TOGO looper over a cut and paste B&M looper any day B&M looper any day
  12. The new Polin sphere slides are looking really really weird. I wonder what goes on inside them?
  13. ^Daaayyyyuuuummm! That's one hell of a playstructure!
  14. There is a strange, powered rollercoaster at one of the Israeli parks which is the only one in the entire country that isn't a clone, if I'm not mistaken. Nobody knows who built it. Not even the park itself (The park was bought out by another company, when I asked the new managment who built the coaster they said they don't know). I couldn't even find any signage or emblems on the ride itself saying what companymade it.
  15. I use Maya, which is a costly progrma, but I think GMAX is a free one that can export OBJ if im not mistaken
  16. Well, wings3D is free and can export .3ds, I dont know how to model in it so I use a program that can export .obj and then just open it in wings and export it as .3ds from there.
  17. Wow! Looks absolutely beautiful! Would love to see more.
  18. Oh! That reminds me. Is the El Loco? Come to think of it, assuming you probably don't want to spoil all the coaster types in the game... (Unless you do, in which case please do.), how MANY coaster types come with the game?
  19. ^So I'm guessing this means NL2 objects will be able to support a bump map? Also, would vertical terrain faces (Like, to make a cliff, a ditch, or a pool) be possible? How will the splash-pool that the dive coaster goes through in the video be created? (And while I'm here... half-unrelated question... I made an .obj file as scenery. when I went to import it I saw my NL only allows .3ds files. Didn't there use to be a way to import .obj files?)
  20. I made a scenery object in Maya and saved it as an .obj file. When I go to nolimits' import scenery wndow it only lets me import .3ds files. I have never touched 3DS max and yet i distinctly remember that a long time ago I did import an object to Nolimits. an .obj file, at that. How do I do it again?
  21. B&M's boring. There. I said it. Cookie cutter layouts that focus on things that look pretty but are essentially forceless. There are exceptions to the rule, but I'd take an Intamin over a beemer 9 days out of 10. With the 10th being whenever they actually do try something new once in a blue moon.
  22. Don't be sad that american parks are dropping Intamin... be happy for us middle easterners who are finally getting some well needed attention! Arabemirates notwithstanding there are hardly any coasters here better than a boomerang or an SLC, it's nice to finally have something cool in the area. -Tomi "considering hopping over to turkey for an afternoon" Z.
  23. Wow! Just, wow! Very creative, I love it!!! I'm afraid if someone was to reach forward during the top of the lift they'd get their arm chopped off but overall it's a great, thrilling ride!
