The adventure of Lil' Robby Robb
FLIPDUDE replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Heh, could've just PM'd me... I'm kind of embarrassed about these goofy old comics The book is doing very well, and is now in it's 2nd print run for the hebrew version. People really like it, and I'm currently working on book #2 ! I ran out of english copies a while back, but they still have some in stores in new york that you could order online if anyone's still interested. (Namely midtown comics) My art has improved A LOT since the days of little Robby Rob, if I do say so myself. An example page from the next book, which I'm working on: -FLIPDUDE -
Good overviews of entire coaster stations?
FLIPDUDE replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^No, I need one that isn't open. And yeah, I know B:TR and such have enclose stations but i dont know if theyre maybe too complex to model. BUt in any case if anyone has good photos of any close doff station, hat show off most of it, I'd love to see it -
Good overviews of entire coaster stations?
FLIPDUDE replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^The more options you can give me the better, I can look at pictures and think which one will be easiest/nicest for me to model. Of course no station is really fully enclosed except indoors one (though even indoor ones might work, like Vogel rok at Efetling), but, to give an example or two - El Toro, The Legend at holiday world, etc. They aren't too open, only some minimal windows and entrance/exits for people and train. Basically any coaster who's views to the outside world isn't TOO extensive - because with those I can get away with just splashing a picture of some trees/an amusement park on a flat surface outside the window (like in TV show sets). But, say, I couldn't mold the station of an average vekoma SLC, because those are usually very open and you can see the rest of the track from inside the station - in which case Id have to model the entire coaster. -
First of all - My apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum to post this. Feel free to move it. Just seemed like it fits best here. Well, I'm studying 3D modeling, and we're supposed to model some sort of room. I decided to model a coaster station - but for that, I need references. And finding good overviews of a coaster station is harder than you'd think. The ones I found were either partial(only showing a small part of the station), full of too many people, blocking the view of the room, or they were too open (Seeing as I can't start modeling everything outside the station, I'd prefer one that's as closed-off as possible(windows, or where the train enters/leaves is okay, of course, but it can't be a totally open, no-walls building. If you guys could help me look, or have some pictures that show off certain stations nicely, I'd very much appreciate it!

[RCT3] Hershey's Key West Park
FLIPDUDE replied to Kinderly's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Okay theres some track pieces there (banked turn to sloped banked turn) that i'm pretty sure weren't in the original RCT3... WTF?! -
I played it for a while, successfuly avoiding all their little traps for sending out invites, but then I got to a point where it wouldnt let me build more rides without "hiring" my friends to work at the park gate. However - if anyone DOES decide to play and wants someone they can send invites to or whatever, my facebook is Tomi Zandshtein.

considered asking him out to the park? Seems rather possible, as far as dreams go

^^ Oh my god, why doesn't another person come in and tell us how we should all do things like the first poster for absolutely no reason? If the game works, it works. Some of thes pics were too easy, some were too hard, some were fine, photoshopping it or waiting for confirmation isnt going to make any difference in that department. ^As I said last time someone posted a Zyklon picture, there are over 140 (or was it 170?) Zyklon models around the world, there needs to be something in the pic that gives at least a little bit of a hint, else the only way to figure it out is to go coaster-by-coaster down the list of Zyklons to figure it out. The fact that this photo was taken from a ferris wheel is really not much of a hint at all.

^I personally really don't mind... au contraire, if you find a picture that proves beyond all doubt that it's the coaster depicted, then by posting a new picture you're just saving time and keeping the game going. Confirmaitons should be for when you're not entirely sure and/or can't find the exact picture used in the original post. But anyhow, yeah, it was the Yamaha racing coaster.

Shalt you post the comic on TPR? It's in hebrew so there won't be much of a point to it. maybe when I translate it later on. It's form the sequel to the comic book I sold here, "Oy Vey". In it I also wrote about the TPR trip I was on.
